I have been impressed with the ease and promptness of Healthy Paws claims process. Human health insurance should take a page from their book! I am a dog trainer and I recommend them to all of my clients. They also took the time to send a personal email inquiry as king me how my dog was doing following her orthopedic surgery.

We love Healthy Paws for our French Bulldogs! It makes it so easy when you are in a stressful situation with your fur-baby to just make the decision that is medically best without thinking about the cost. For the past two months we have been to our vet and the emergency vet hospital about 5 or 6 times. We noticed that our Frenchie Riblet had lost vision his right eye. He had caught bronchitis and we thought it was jut the meds, but after he was off the meds his vision didn't' improve. Many appointments, exams, an MRI and Spinal Tap reviled that he had encephalitis. We have been trying to treat it with prednizone, but will be needing to move to a stronger chemo drug to treat this disease. These monthly treatments that he will require along with the rest of the tests may not have been possible without Healthy Paws. Thank you for letting us be good responsible dog parents without breaking the bank!

Trupanion Pet Insurance review

I've had five dogs insured with Trupanion in the last six years.  After having a dog with bone cancer and paying five figures for her care, I decided I'd never be without insurance again.  A friend of mine recommended Trupanion so ... I signed up!   I've filed claims for arthritis, cysts, GI issues, liver disease, spinal disease and three cases of cancer all covered at 90%.   Thousands of dollars in claims paid as oncology is expensive.  $16k for my last cancer dog and Trupanion paid over $14k of it. I think what people need to understand is that this is not for routine care.  This is for the unexpected stuff!  Luckily, my third dog is healthy and I have only filed one small claim for her but ... I consider it paying for peace of mind each month.   They also reimburse very quickly and have the ability to direct pay the hospital. This is a HUGE benefit!  One of my senior dogs had a $4700 surgery and I was only out of pocket 10%.   I mean, really?  How can you not love that??? No other company does that. Trupanion may cost more but that type of service along with the no limits aspect of their coverage make it much more complete.

Trupanion has proven time and time again to be a great partner in keeping our Stella healthy and happy! It is key that we continue to work on prevention with our little girl and Trupanion has supported us the entire way. Claims are easy, paperwork is quick and turnaround is amazing. I hope they add "people" insurance soon. I'll be the first to sign up.

Regarding the online quoting system + let me include multiple pets on same quote - can't figure out how to pay an annual amount rather than monthly - they add $25 to the first payment for account set up =deal breaker

Liston in their customer service department was awesome. He explained everything clearly and went way above the call of duty to help. I am so glad that I cam back to Trupanion, No gimmicks or hidden fees. Straight forward so you really do know what you are paying for and what is and is not covered. How good is that? Thank you Liston! Jerry

I've not actually had my pets covered under this insurer, but they are among the ones I obtained quotes from while shopping around. I have 2 cats; a 4 yr old male & a 12 yr old female. The female is actually in better health than the male, with his frequent UTIs, however because she is over 8 yrs old the best plan they will give me is a $500 deductible & 70% reimbursement, with various limitations. And at the same rate as the comprehensive plan for my male, which has a $100 deductible & reimburses at 90%.

My boy, "Mr. Pipes," has been through hell these last few years. He's had his gall bladder removed, several bouts of pancreatitis, a stroke, an inflamed liver, tumor biopsies and more. Our total vet bills have easily topped $20k. Trupanion has covered 90% (excepting exam fees) with absolutely NO hassle. They even directly deposit the funds into my checking account within 2 weeks of submitting the claims. I'm impressed beyond belief. It honestly seems too good to be true, but it is.
