The person I talked to was very professional and helpful. I was able to get what I wanted in a short amount of time and he answered all the questions I asked.
I got the Medical Guardian Premium for my 97-year-old mother. It arrived very fast, and we set it up today. The setup was very easy, and we were especially impressed when I asked if the volume on the loudspeaker in her pendant could be turned up (she is hard of hearing, and we wanted to be sure she could use the device). We were given the customer service number, and a very nice representative adjusted the volume right then. My mother is very pleased, and I am so relieved that she has a device that will let us know if she needs help.
I am disappointed with Medical Guardian. Only after I had purchased the device did I find out the Medical Guardian and Medical Alert are the same company. This made everything very confusing especially when I called the direct number for the agent I spoke to and then found out I was calling Medical Alert. The device arrived on time, but the wrist band has a very cheap band that is both difficult to put on and doesn't stay closed. I had Medical Alert 2 years ago for my mom and it was fine. I just find this whole thing now very confusing and deceptive. One company using two names and assistance when called not very helpful or understanding.
We choose Medical Guardian for several reasons. Free Equipment, free activation and shipping . Other companies charge a $50 activation fee. Add to that a lifetime rate lock and it's pretty tough to beat. Unit shipped quickly via Fedex and installation and set-up with help from a friendly and professional operator was a breeze. I have no reservations recommending Medical Guardian to anyone with the need for such a service.
Customer service is excellent! Great follow up when we weren't ready to order at first. Prompt attention to our needs.
So far we are pleased. My father has been only uses the fall detection device as few days. I only wish there were multiple base unit so one could be in the living, one in the bedroom and one in the garage.
Each person I've talked to has been very pleasant and helpful. Product came in a very timely manner. Also, I've already had one experience with the service. I was getting out of the shower this morning, and I'm not sure what happened, but my device suddenly announced it had detected a fall. I wasn't sure what to do, because I had not fallen, but in a minute a gentleman came on and asked if I needed help. I told him "no, I was fine" and he wished me a good day.
My sister initiated the conversation at first with the Medical Guardian Life Consultant and the discussions were centered around getting the devices for our Parents that included the Fall Detection. When we made the decision and processed through the order, everything was so screwed up. Even though all the confirmations were given at the time the order was placed, to have the necklace, that included the Fall Protection, we did not get the necklace with the fall protection. Not one thing was correct about the final order, not even the names of my parents. I found your Premier offering the best choice for me and for the assurance offered to my loved ones. I feel confident that should I have an unfortunate incident I will receive the most prompt and best response to my needs. Compared to the services offered the monthly cost is modest and worthwhile.
