In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I purchased a home warranty from Select Home Warranty for 3 1/2 years. After 3-4 months my Heat pump went out. They sent out a company that not only misdiagnosed the issue but had no clue what they were looking at. They denied the claim stating it was a Freon leak that caused the issue. I disagreed with them and they said I could get my own technician out at my expense which I did. He confirmed the 1st company had no idea what they were doing and stated the motor had shorted out. He talked to the company. I followed up with them and they had no record of him calling. He called them again. I called back they did have record of him calling this time but called him again. We purchased a 3 yr contract and PAID IN FULL! our 1st claim was w/ our a/c and had to keep calling to see when someone would show up. (Had no a/c for almost 2 weeks in 100 degree f weather!) It was repaired...finally! Had 2 more issues. 1 with our stove top (Select wont repair even though we can only use 1 burner) & a small leak in our bedroom ceiling. Repair company showed up but Select said we had to pay for the repair company to damage our ceiling so they could have access to the problem and then pay to have it repaired. What!? We've had other home warranty companies in the past at our prior home and NEVER had any delays or problems!

As a first time customer, I wasn’t sure what to expect. My garage door stopped working so, I placed a call late night to file a claim and the customer service representative answered immediately. He was polite and patient. He explained the next steps after I gave some information regarding the issue. Back to where I mentioned I didn’t know what to expect, I was very satisfied with how seamless the claim process was. After this positive experience, I’m confident I made the right decision in choosing Select Home.

I just bought a Warranty policy with Select Home. Blake (the agent I spoke to at Select Home) was cordial, informative, patient and respectful. He answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed or pressured. I am generally a cautious customer but Blake dealt well with my concerns. I have not yet initiated a claim with Select Home, but if every Select Home employee is as friendly, patient and informative as Blake, I am sure I will be satisfied with the company's staff. This rating of five stars deals with my communication (via phone) with Blake.
