Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Waste of money. Filled claim for dishwasher and took two months to resolve with a partial refund on a new model. Took another 2 months to recieve agreed amount. The people you deal with are total unqualified and can not tell you anything but someone will contact you in 24 to 36 hours( if your lucky)

Buyer Beware: 1) I have sent several requests and and even spoke with several representatives regarding a $75 reimbursement for work that was completed in 2018. I have not received reimbursement. The last person stated I would hear back within 48 hours- that was 3 weeks ago. No phone call-no email. Ticket #675569 2) I filed a claim for electric work. We were having issues with a circuit that continued to trip. When WE found an electrician, he noted that a power surge must have fried several outlets and light fixtures. He fixed all of those and replaced the fixtures or wires as needed. Select Home Warranty approved the claim, then denied the claim stating fixtures weren't covered.... Read More

These guys are liars and their customer service platform is among the worst I have ever experienced. I have a policy which has an allowance for repair of $500. They are only providing me with $340 for a leaky pipe to be fixed. They claimed that it was because of a previous repair. This is false, there has never been another repair. They made that one up. Their service reps are rude and unwilling to listen to me. One service rep hung up on me because I said I was making a record of my conversation with him. Really horrific service all the way around.

I took out select warranty about a year ago . When I Called select with 3 issues in 2 different bathrooms I would be charged $75. For each issue. I called the sales person who sold Select to me ( Jonathan Sullivan) I wanted to discuss the problem. He hung up on me. I used American home Sheild for many years and regret switching.

Started my policy with them in December (actually November because of a 30 day waiting period. Had two small claims which were handled promptly. On small claims they will settle for a small amount based on depreciation value that is less than it cost to fix. Quick payment. With this settlement they will not pay for installation, if needed, but every little bit helps. In my first case I had a 8 year old microwave go bad, they paid $90 which covered the cost for the install by Appliance Direct. New microwave there was about $250 for the same make and model we had. Overall I like the idea of having the policy.

Select contacted us the same day, currently waiting on pool repair man to come by. A far cry from a prior claim we made which was an absolute disaster (never did get an explanation on exactly how they arrived at the value of the claim, even after repeated emails & phone calls. Conflicting details - yes. Explanation - no). Hopefully they will gain our respect this time around.

DON'T WALK - RUN AWAY FROM THIS CORRUPT AND CHEATING COMPANY! Select Home Warranty is a SCAM run by CROOKS. Clothes washer develops water leak, tech comes out and says probably need both a control board AND a new valve (means he doesn't know which one it is), and two weeks later, the so-called "resolution" tells me they will only pay $185 to either repair or replace the washer, and only after I have submitted an invoice for one or the other. RIGHT! Then what would their "resolution" people tell me? You had better not believe the hype from all these aggregate review sites - they get PAID and the more they are paid, the higher their rating of a company. SHW is a RIP OFF.
