Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

CHW is not a honorable company. Would not recommend this company. Chw said my contract had been canceled when I tried to file a claim, paid for service then they said I did have contract but would only pay half of what I paid. Plus the last person that I talked to was rude and combative

The worst, my ac unit is having issues and you people said you would pay for the replacement but I have to pay for the labor which is 3 times the cost o f the parts, outrageous if i paid a warrant company to cover appliances, ac unit and others items why should i pay for labor and non covered parts. Your warranty specifically says you wont cover mis matched parts and that’s what you want to install in my home...not happy at all.

When you buy an insurance, you expect it to be like an umbrella to cover you for a rain. Well, this umbrella is nonexistent. The kind of coverage and the hussle of explaining that no, you cannot live in 94F heat without a working A/C for a week, wasn't worth $500 a year for this insurance. Choice Home Warranty will not cover any actual repairs on our old A/C, only a temporary bandage. Since we'll not use $500 worth of bandages, the money were wasted. I could never recommend this kind of coverage.

the s service and help that I got when I had a problem was bad I had a repair on my central ac one day later I had another problem with the repair when I called to ask for help was told it was up to me to contact the contractor that the repair was made by. Was treated rudely by the choice advisor will have second thoughts on renewal.

the service agent NEVER ARRIVED in 4 hour window of opportunity the first day..when he did come the second day DID NOT HAVE PART NEEDED FOR FIX SO RATHER THEN SENDING HIM TO HARDWARE STORE I GAVE HIM A PART I HAD PURCHASED FOR ABOUT $8. THIS SERVICE MAN COMES FROM ABOUT 50 MILES AWAY USING HIS OWN GAS..NOT A GOOD PLAN FOR WARRANTY. CHOICE HAS NO SERVICE PEOPLE FOR THIS IN MY WHOLE COUNTY VERY LARGE AND POPULOUS COUNTY. PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY FOR YEAR 2 & 3 OF MY WARRANTY BECAUSE YOUR COMPANY IS NOT PREPARED TO SERVICE MY AREA!
