Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Anytime Home Service replaced my garbage disposal and will return to install a new ht water heater. The young men were very polite and answered my questions with a smile. I am looking forward to working with them when they return to replace the hot water heater. Great company

Referring to claim #70290855 Loud Refrigerator Noise I had my tech submit a claim to replace both faulty fans for $1600. Without any discussion I was awarded $408 and the claim was closed. I called and was told that there was nothing that could be done. Your tech rates are that much better. I am extremely disappointed with the amount awarded and the way the whole thing was handled. I also do not like having to wait months for what you are sending me as I have to get this fixed and will be out of pocket $1600. This is not the service I was expecting when I signed up for your Warranty.

I came to Choice because it advertised as an honest reliable company I was with another company and after paying my monthly fee for about 9 moths when a problem came up they treated me like a nobody not a committed customer so after searching I found Choice first I was told about discount and 1 month free it wasn’t like I thought so I let that go after finding out your free month is at the end of year contract my washer started acting up and I called had to wait 7 days for a vendor who missed first appt due to not stating to wait for a phone call so I waited from 3-730 before calling to find out if they were still coming Communication is key inevery situation Ead told after he finally... I submitted a claim on a non cooling central air conditioning system Saturday September 22, 2018 . Smith Mechanical called almost immediately and set an appointment for Monday September 24, 2018 for 11am to 3pm. The tech Brian called and confirmed when he was on his way. He was on time, very courteous and identified the problem (a bad capacitor) replaced it and it is cooling properly. Could not ask for more. Service beyond my expectations. Thanks Carolyn Rogers
