Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Our heat went out over the holiday. While I realize this is a tough and inconvenient time to get a technician we waited almost 3 days before having service. Fortunately we had alternate methods of heating the home but if we had not had those we would have been in a freezing home during the coldest days of the year. For emergencies such as these (heat in winter) it would be better to have an emergency service that could provide service that same day. Additionally after receiving notification that we would not receive service for 3 days which came 5 hours after our initial request, my wife called to see if someone was available earlier but we did not get a response.

It takes forever to het a hold of you. Yesterday when the contractor was here, he was on hold for over an hour to get to talk to you. Finally when he gave you the info, you still have not processed his information. Your service is bad

Contract took effect 12/25 I had problem on 12/26 with pool cleaner motor and they would not cover due to I could not prove last time it worked since I was out of town for holidays. I cancelled immediately

There was no one available to talk to this evening when I had questions about an offer that expired at midnight that I received after you live operators were already unavailable. I also had questions about my recent purchase that incorrectly registered the wrong address but could not correct this.

Choice Home Warranty, my review Customer service is outstanding! Hi Ezra! Thanks for working with me and getting us hooked up again. Wonderful that you allow your salesman to call back, I NEVER purchase until I talk it over with the hubby, and had to wait until his lunchtime to confirm that we wanted to sign up again. Ezra called back at the agreed upon time and we got it done. All and all, I would and have recommended you to all I know! Happy New Year Piece of mind is a glorious thing!

Every single claim I have ever submitted has resulted in a dispute. Rejection of claims have at times, been for reasons that are fictitious or have no basis in fact. It has just happened again regarding a leak that has developed in my garbage disposal. It was rejected for a reason that is based on no facts at all.

Refrigerator went on the fritz , I called on Friday , made my repair order , he called Saturday , came out like 1:00 pm , up and running again , end of story !!! Super nice guy !!! I don’t lie for anyone it’s the best investment for nerve racking problems at home I ever made . Dave!
