Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Choice Home Warranty handled my water heater claim is a record time. I filed my claim online on Sunday, and they send a well qualified technician the next day. He tried to repair the heater and when it wasn't possible, he recommended a replacement -which was approved in less than 48 hours. By the end of the day on Wednesday, I had a new water heater professionally installed. I still can't believe how smooth all went. Thank you CHW!!

The service provided by the technician and his company MR Repair was top notch. Timely appointment was made and honored, the technician had to return to complete the task and did so as scheduled. Would not hesitate to use this company again or refer them.

My cloud holds the thought that the technician never really told me how much I was supposed to pay when he had completed his service diagnosis. I simply volunteered what I was told by the Choice Warranty office person that I was supposed to pay which was $75.00 (cash). By his actions I don't know whether the amount was correct or not. He never told me what I was supposed to pay, but he did accept the cash money. I was not given a receipt.

Falsified report from pool repair company to avoid paying claim. I have a copy of the report. I have appealed claim. If rejected again i will get a refund and close account.

I tried to put in 1 star but your system wouldn't allow. Wish to cancel membership with Choice! You have turned down 8 OF 11 OF MY CLAIMS even though I have your most expensive warranty. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied

The stars do not let me choose POOR, that's rigged too. Not sure what I'm paying for. When I purchased, I reviewed items with Kelli Jackson, she assured they would be covered. I have an electrical issue, everything is excluded. What is ACTUALLY covered? I tried calling several times, the phone rings and then stops. A different number I tried has an IVR, you press selected choice, the IVR continues to repeat itself. My representative gave me her direct number, never to be answered either. I don't know what I paid for.

This company doesn’t stand behind their word. I called to get my A/C checked last year in September, they added Freon, I call on 3/16/20 again because it wasn’t cooling. I told them what my problem was, they sent a tech out only to tell me the exact same thing I told them that I had a leak, so another hot night, the tech said he would file a claim with the for the leak test, denied, so I paid for the leak test myself, then after the tech performed the leak test he advised us that we had a leak from the coil, he filed a claim while he was here, of course CHW denied that as well, I was stuck with a $2,900 ac bill. Not your normal experience. We called about the refrigerator ice and water not working as well as the digital readout on the door. In a short time we got a response and a time and date for service. For no special reason I changed the filter and before I knew it everything seemed great. One call to the serving company to cancel the appointment and the service case was closed. The fast response gave us a peace of mind. That is why we love Choice home warranty.

I reported a sink stoppage on a Monday morning. We got the service by Plumbers, Electricians and Beyond LLC the following day at Noon. Rosa, the plumber, gave ud an excellence service. She notice that our waste disposal was defective, she called her office while I contacted Choice to submit a claim for the broken disposal. Choice customer service was able to add my claim to my first claim which save me a lot of time since the Rosa was able to clear the stoppage and replace the waste disposal on the same day.
