Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

TJ Electric called to confirm the appointment and time.Jeffery Snyder showed up on time, explained everything to me. Said he had to do research on my generator, then he would be back to hopefully fix it. The inside of the generator looks new, it has only been used one time in 16 years. It just won’t start. Jeffery was very professional, and considerate of what information I would or would not understand.

Your agents and website say that CHW will either fix or replace appliances. Well this is my third claim for kitchen appliances and you deemed all three were un-economically repairable and you gave me a mere pittance of what it cost to replace the item. Rest assured that when my contract expires I'll go back to American Home Shield.

The technician that came out was very knowledgeable and professional. He even showed me a few tricks that i can do before calling for help. He was able to fix my issue quickly and easily.

Mr. Kreitzer arrived on time and made every effort to fix the leak. He was hindered by the fact that he could not find the part that he needed to fix the problem. He told us that Choice Warranty would only replace a 4 inch faucet not an 8 inch faucet. So we are left with the following thoughts. This is the second denial of service that we have received. We are out $65.00 for the service call plus the installation and purchase of a new faucet is going to be around $200.00. I suggest that you reconsider the types of bathroom faucets that your company services because it is not right that we have a two year warranty and little service.

Mr. gentleman very thorough professional compassionate friendly The electric company had someone come out last winter to look at my heater and he left a note of what the problem was I didn’t mention it to CHW technician because he was so thorough with finding and locating the issues at hand everything he said was written on the paper and more he told me from head to toe in explaining the issues to me CHW tech truly amazing truly very extensive about his work amazing gentleman so thank you so much thank you thank you thank you

The technician was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He also followed safety measure due to the Coronavirus such as wearing a mask and gloves. I do not allow anyone in my home without a mask and I did not have to ask, he came prepared.
