Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

Horrible. Denied a/c claim saying wasnât normal wear and tear but wouldnât say how it happened if not wear and tear. Appeal process a joke! No a/c technician would say this wasnât wear and tear. The guy on appeal call was passive aggressive and talked down to me. Canât give a worse rating.

Quick response, HVAC repairman, was knowledgeable and informative. Repair requires a new motor installation, which has been approved.
The technician was helpful and friendly. He quickly identified the problem and fixed the issue.
The agents at Choice home warranty were not helpful, apparently my home warranty doesn't cover my AC unit (even though I have the premium package). Just a bad experience all around... Would not recommend to anyone!

Choice Home Warranty provides home warranty service coverage on the systems and appliances listed as âINCLUDEDâ under the terms of the User Agreement sent to you at purchase.

He is a nice guy. Unfortunately he did not have the parts he needs to repair my dryer and can not return for several weeks.
I wish I could leave a more thorough review, but at the moment I am still waiting to actually speak to a representative or have my claim answered. I will say that the website is very user-friendly. I hope that the rest of my experience goes well. Communication from Choice Home Warranty has always been good, so I expect that once I get a representative on the phone everything should be good, and this review would be a solid 5 stars. I don't know why I was asked to write a review about my experience before I've actually had an experience to write about.
The technician was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and effective. Quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired the problem.
Choice however can be more efficient with providing the technician with the authorization necessary to move forward.
Technician did a great job and looked for solutions to fix the problem. Great experience
Very quick response to new claims, very comforting to know they are there to help resolve any issues you have.
My GE Washing machine was deemed unrepairable by the technician. I was told I would get a Lowes gift card for a little more than $300 to purchase a new machine which start at twice that amount! I appealed this offer, but was told that because my machine is a 2.7 cubic ft. capacity they would not give me any more money for a new washer.
Also a Lowes gift card gives me no option to look else where for the best price or even for a used machine.
I will not recommend CHW nor will I renew when the time comes.

The company has recently updated their plans increasing coverage and has fewer limitations. Their plans and optional coverage can cover over 25 major systems and appliances.
Choice Home Warranty earns a B rating from the Better Business Bureau and has a positive rating on Trustpilot, but in this industry, negative customer reviews far outnumber positive ones.
