Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

The technician was great. However, the guy that came out earlier in the year (through your company) told us he installed a new fan relay and there is not one on our system. He improperly installed that caused you to reject my claim. I’m happy with the recognition but to so much with your company.

I submitted a claim for my refrigerator, next day I got email that I could use the reimbursement vs waiting for you to find a vendor in your system. So I click on the 'Start Reimbursement Process' and I am then directed to a page that says to call a number. So I call the number, it is busy for nearly 14 hours, I cannot get through. Meanwhile, to expedite my fix of refrigerator, I contact a local appliance repair who can fix my issue on Monday, 20 Dec. Whenwhile I find another number to call service dept and finally get through to be told they have a contractor assigned to come on 30 Dec. I explained that I had a repair setup for 20 Dec but could not contact them via phone to... Read More

I received speedy and excellent service. My claim was placed very late at night of which I received a response right away. That morning at 7am, I received a call from the technician that had been contracted to say that he could be at my home in an hour to fix the problem I was having with my heating system. He arrived within the hour, checked out my system, explained the problem and of course fixed it. He was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable of the AC/Heating system. Kudos to Olive Air & Heating Company. I was very pleased with their service.

Jeremy was responsive, on time and knowledgeable. He came on Tuesday and diagnosed the problem which required a new board. I’m waiting for a follow up visit to fix my dishwasher. Will comment once everything is complete.

The stove does not have a legible serial and/or model number. Therefore the Sears Technician was unable to service this particular appliance. He indicated that he will file a report with Choice Home Warranty. What recourse do we have? With the holidays rapidly approaching, and baking time for my wife and my daughters is an important tradition for us, can I be given a date of repair of this particular appliance? As I have indicated to your service representative via telephone, my wife has planned for Monday and Tuesday to do her holiday baking and tamale cooking with my daughter that is traveling from afar to bake and cook. So happy with this company. Anytime I have a problem with an appliance, they send someone out by the next day to have someone assess what the problem is and make sure it’s fixed the right way.

The customer service is great; Kayleigh Randolph was very professional and knowledgeable. Choice contracts with the best service contractors who’re highly skilled in their trades. I’m a repeat customer. I had Choice for my previous home that I recently sold; I just purchased another home and selected Choice again because I was so pleased with the service I received with my previous experience with Choice.

It was very easy to get my request for service in by email. As soon as I submitted the request, I was immediately contacted by CHW to let me know that they would contact a service technician in my area. The request was sent late at night and the very next morning at 7am I was contacted by the technician. He was at my home in the hour and took care of my problem with the heating system. The service was very prompt and everything that CHW indicated that they would do was done. Kudos to Olive Air AC & Heating. Oliver was very courteous, explained and fixed the problem. Thank you very much!
