Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

I had a gentlemen come to fix my dish washer and ice maker. He had to order parts to fix them both but he was a pleasure to talk to and he found out what was wrong with both of my appliances.

When my oven broke it was fast and easy to make a claim and when repair man couldnt get parts for it choice only gives you parts and labor due to one of there clauses in contract but they went above and beyond and gave me extra money to almost replace my oven with a new one

My experience was phenomenal. My dishwasher stopped working and the technician determined it could not be saved. A representative from Choice contacted me and explained they would be sending me a check to cover the cost of replacing my dishwasher. I'm so happy with my coverage with Choice Warranty!

I have a worst experience with sale representative... This lady was rude and didn't know how to provide right information that I had asked. I was purchased home warranty several times already through choice for the buyers as I am realtor but never had experienced like this before. Company needs to re-train the associates and let them learn what is the basic attitude they should have before providing the asked information. I will not contact Choice anymore for my client's future purchase needs or any referal.

I had to call Choice Warantee for the first time last week. Unfortunately, problems developed with more than one of our kitchen appliances at the same time, and I did not know whether that was going to be a problem, and it wasn't. Choice has been very helpful about arranging a technician to respond to our needs. The appliances have not been fixed yet, because parts needed to be ordered, but so ar so good!

I have placed 2 service calls in my two year membership with them. They submit and dispatch the claim; the problem is they are so careful on not paying too much, so they hire or work with cheap labor/unpopular businesses/technicians, technicians that ended up not showing, don't even call to reschedule a visit, or they themselves tell you that CHW won't pay them enough based on estimates so they won't fix it. On both occasions they failed me and I had to hired technicians of my own and pay out of pocket, because they never came. Bottom line is; this Home Warranty is NOT reliable, you're better off hiring technicians of your own and pay them yourself.
