Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

On June 4, 2017 our Dryer stopped working, so I proceeded to call Choice Home Warranty to report a claim. I immediately received a claim number and was told I would receive a an email with the phone number of the company who would do the repair, within a few hours we received the phone number needed to contact the repair company " Park Ave Appliance Repair Service" . Contact was made and an was told that they would come on either Monday June 5th or Tuesday June 6th and that they would make phone contact to confirm which day they would come. I called Choice on a heating system, pilot light; so no heat. Choice had a response within 24 hours and I was able to schedule the vendor within 72 hours. I was very pleased and like the vendor that was sent to fix my problem.

Don't even go on their website. I hadn't submitted anything but was reading their website 3 afters ago. Suddenly somebody calls me from Choice. They knew I was online! That was creepy. We were investigating warranty companies, but decided that night not to get one. Since then we've been called TEN times by them in 2 1/2 days. Each time I've told them we're not getting a warranty and to stop calling, and they either argue with me and then hang up on me when I still say no, or they hang up as soon as I tell them we're not getting one and to stop calling. Had an electrical problem affecting our outdoor lights. Called Choice home warranty. Within a few hours received a call from an electronian and set up an appointment. Electrician showed up on time. He understood the problem and repaired/ replaced GFI.

I filed a claim to repair a water leak under my kitchen sink. The claim was assigned the same day. The repairman came out the next day and repaired the leak. He was very courageous and professional.

The pool service technican was very competent and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what the problem was and fixed the pool pump immediately. I highly recommend them for service.

I called in a washing machine not working. Within an hour a service man called and made appointment for the next morning. Came out on time and doing a part was needed and ordered it. When part came in service man called and came to hour a to fix. Only cost me $45.00. I was very impressed. Would recommend this warranty to everyone.
