I paid $3,839.50 for a condo in New Orleans and had to cancel and even had a note from my doctor. This happened last month during the Coronavirus and they only want to give me a voucher for $236.13 which is BS. I called early last month and was told on the phone they may not be able to honor the policy because it was purchased after January 29 and I should have known about the virus. We DID NOT know about the virus and neither did they because they sold me the policy! Legal counsel has been contacted! NEVER WILL I PURCHASE INSURANCE AGAIN NOR WILL I RENT FROM HOMEAWAY!

We design our plans with today's travelers in mind, keeping the cost within reason and providing coverage for the main reasons you may have to cancel. Unfortunately, like other insurance plans you have, travel insurance cannot cover everything. The plan you purchased includes a variety of covered events under which we can may provide coverage if you are forced to cancel your trip, but it does not cover pandemics or epidemics.
While you may have already reached out to your Vrbo host, you may want to revisit their site as Vrbo is asking their hosts to apply refunds and credits. In the event that your host won't comply, Vrbo is waiving fees and we are offering reuse of your policy. We had a cruise planned for the middle of March that went to New Zealand, Tasmania and Australia. A month earlier I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma on my nose which required my surgeon to use the MOHS procedure to remove skin and tissue down to my

THEY DO NOT COVER FOR CORONA VIRUS CANCELS> Do not purchase. Impossible to get a refund for the insurance and impossible to make a claim without a positive test which is next to impossible to get anywhere.

The travel insurance is useless for trip cancellations. It is actually just a scam. My upcoming trip to Kuwait City was canceled by my University that required my attendance at the Middle Eastern Psychological Association Conference (MEPA). The conference and ALL public activities in Kuwait have been canceled commencing March 1 -15 (to date) within the nation in efforts to contain current outbreak of COVID-19 virus by the Kuwaiti government. It appears the policy you bought was from JustFly and it does not contain any coverages for government shutdowns or travel restructions due to Coronavirus. Like other types of insurance, travel insurance cannot cover everything. We cannot stress enough the importance of reading the plan coverages to ensure you are purchasing a plan that best fits your needs.
DO NOT BUY TRIP INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY. IF YOU ARE A CLUB MED TRAVELER AND THINK YOU CAN GO TO A REMOTE LOCATION AND THEN GET VERY SICK AND KNOW YOU HAVE TO GET HOME WHILE YOU CAN STILL STAND ON YOUR OWN TWO FEET AND YOU THINK THEY WON'T TRY TO SCREW YOU OUT OF COVERAGE, GUESS AGAIN!! We're sorry to hear about your sickness and issues. In order to claim trip interruption due to illness, you must visit a physician as noted in the policy. Our travel assistance team is available 24/7 to help you locate a local doctor or resorts like Club Med have physicians on call.
We take the claims process very seriously and want our customers have confidence in their purchase. We cannot stress enough how important it is to read through your policy coverages and ask questions of our team, should you need any clarification.
Took a 21 day cruise and had a seizure on board the ship. All ship invoices have to be procured at a cost before leaving ship or larger fees. My medicare secondary insurance became my primary for Generali. The medicare secondary paid promptly for over half of the bill but since Generali (stalling Tactic) couldn't agree with the Explanation of Benefits from them ,they are still denying their part of the claim going on 9 months. They want me to do their work. I guess a lawyer will get it all. I paid for nothing but excuses.

At first I thought it was a misunderstanding that would be remedied once we discussed the matter. My wife and I planned to take family members on a trip to France. We undertook to pay for lodging and train travel in Europe. They would only have to pay for air fare and incidentals. And for one cousin who is celebrating a significant birthday this year, we went a step farther and undertook to pay her air fare from SFO to Paris. Knowing how much we were likely to spend for all of this we insured the trip for $9,500.
