Cancellation Policy

1. You may void this Agreement within 30 days of the coverage effective date for a full refund of the contract fees paid if no claim has been made. The right to void this Agreement as provided in this paragraph is not transferable. A ten percent penalty per month will be added to any refund required under this paragraph, including any accrued penalties, that is not paid or credited within 30 days after termination of this Agreement pursuant to this paragraph. 2. You may cancel this Agreement within 30 days of the coverage effective date if a claim has been made, or at any time thereafter, at which time you may be entitled to a refund of unearned contract fees paid based on the short rate schedule less a processing fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) and less the cost of any services performed pursuant to the Agreement, where permitted by law. If the refund calculation results in you owing us payment for services provided, we may bill you for the lesser of the net amount due to us or the unpaid annual term contract fee. We will bill or charge you any balance owed to us through the same mechanism as any previous installment billings, or we will direct bill you if such a mechanism is not available. 3. We may terminate this Agreement immediately, after any applicable notice provisions, for non-payment, fraud or material misrepresentation. If we terminate for fraud or material misrepresentation, this Agreement is void and we shall refund all paid contract fees if no claims have been made. If a claim has been made, we will follow normal cancellation procedures as outlined in this section.

Paid $125 for repair on washer and dryer. The washer leaked and made a god awful noise while the dryer wouldn't get hot. He hasn't submitted the claim its been 3 1/2 weeks....called TP 8 times....nothing they won't refund my money . I'm to old to give random people my hard earned money. I'm canceling...BEWARE!!!

TotalProtect is becoming the worse! I have been with them for years and the service level is bad. Instead of repairing or replacing my washer and dryer they have decided to offer me $350 on a $1,200.00 unit. This is so unfair. The reason for having the policy is so that you do not have to come up with the cost to repair or replace the items covered. DO NOT buy a policy with this company. You will regret it!

I have been with this company for many years at the same residence. The only times I have called them is when a refrigerator wasn’t cooling or my HVAC system. I have always kept up with my coverage and paid the extra amount for the Gold Plan that covered my extra appliances and pool. So I thought!!!! Went to file a claim on it and was told it was not covered. The telephone rep indicated that the plans change from year to year!!!!!! Time to change to a new company as this is bad business practice! If you notice that you never receive any mail regarding coverage from year to year should be a red flag! Check your coverage!!! May not be what you asked for when you enrolled!

This company was great the first year. But this last year we had a few things go out within three months . A year and four months ago the air conditioner went out . They ended up sending about three people . It took over five weeks to finally get it done . Then we had to pay extra because of new laws stating this system will no longer be legal in two years . So we paid an extra 600 plus the 75 . Now it just broke again . They also are canceling us in two months because we had four things go out . So there goes our warrant of a lifetime after they fix it . I think they have changed something because they are hard to deal with , take a long time getting

I have had TP for 5 years, never really had an issue with them sending someone out to fix stuff (oven, garage door) until now. My HVAC has been serviced (fixed) by their vendors every year for 3 years until last year (the 4th year I've had to call) when the first vendor refused to go out to my home again. I called to get another vendor who said they no longer work with them. I called again, only to wait 3 days with no answer so I hired someone which cost less than the deductible. I called them to cancel the service call and they still hadn't found anyone after a week. I had no AC in the home for almost a week when I called an outside vendor to fix what was a compressor issue. This company I had warranty with for almost 3 year and they do this auto renewal of the service contract. once i decided to switch to another home warranty company since their price was getting increased. i called customer relation team and discussed about the cancellation process, they looked at my account and confirmed that I can get my contract cancellation without any penalty or cancellation fee since I am old customer and had 2 very minor service request. they also said they will work with their senior to see if they can offer me better rate as competitive as others, I waited for their call and replied their email saying since I am not seeing any offer from you I am making my move to... DO NOT BUY THIS POLICY! I called Total Protect for the very first time when my A/C unit in the first floor stopped working. After considerable back-and-forth they finally sent an idiot from "Feel Good Air Conditioning" (I could not invent that name) by the name of Luis. He said the unit needed a new coil. After initially approving the repair but requiring me to pay $1200 for Freon and a vacuum unit (not covered for some reason) they then approved an additional $200 of the repair. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN OR REFER THEM TO ANYONE I KNOW!!!! I have an approved work order, but the approval doesn't cover 75% of what it takes to get the job done! The job was overpriced at $6,500 and yet they told me they can't send another contractor out because policy is it only goes to one contractor, they won't let me even shop around for a $6,500 job, I was on the phone for almost 20 hours last week and spoke to 10 different reps and all gave me different approval amounts, out of the 5 managers who were supposed to call back no-one still has, they will not put anything in writing and say that they have to put in a request to send an email (even managers) and you will... We have been trying to get our oven repaired for months. These are the four companies Total Protect has sent out for this repair: First repair company: reviews on-line said they had a serial rapist hired. I refused to have anyone from that company in our house. Second company: came out, spent 5 min, billed us $125 & then quit--NO repair.
