Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I’ve been a Select Home Warranty customer for a while. I’d previously tried other companies who charged more the double the $45.00 Service Call fee for less service. I had two service calls this year and the Techs who repaired my appliances were professional, courteous, and punctual. I was so impressed by Isaac, my SHW Customer Service Rep, that I renewed for the 5-year plan + an extra free year. Very impressed with the service I’ve gotten from Select Home Warranty.

I will never recommend this company to anyone, they denied our claim without even knowing what was wrong with it, said they do not fix leaks on hot water heaters, which is fine but when the leak is fixed on my dime and then a week later there is not any hot water they say they do not fix leaks, it wasn't a leak this time it was something else... again fixed on my dime... they didn't even listen or check into this. They do not send you the full information until after you pay for the home warranty and when you read it and all the small print really nothing is covered, I may well have just flushed the money down the toilet, same difference. Never get the service of this company, worst I have ever encountered, they have very good salesmen to lure you sign up, giving you all the promises that they can't provide and when you cancel that's the end of it luckily if you get some cents out of the hundreds of dollars you paid even though you still have years under warranty. Customers service are trained to lie to be able to get away from the supposed benefits the customers should get. I have all the documents to back it up, The person I talked to, the time, date, hours its all compiled. Bring your business somewhere else, there are still reliable, trusted and dependable company out here.

Do not use this company.the salesman when you sign up makes you think your covered and all is good.WRONG they have many loop holes to keep from paying your claim.Also very hard to get anyone on line,i was on hold for 45mins a recording came on for a automatically to be called back 2days later still had not gotten a call back.dont waste your money on this company.

SHW charge people a monthly premium or like me, sucker them with a "discount" to pay in advance for three years and then don't pay for repairs if they determine it costs too much compared to the depreciated worth of the appliance. This was not disclosed before I purchased the warranty and when I asked for a copy of the contract they told me not until the policy goes into effect in 30 days. They advertise that they will replace it if they can't fix it but that is not true. My clothes washer broke the end of January and I put in a claim. VERY SHADY BUSINESS COMPANY! BEWARE!!! We have 2 claims, which i can see them not paying 1 of them unfourtuantlly, but tried to tell me on the 2nd claim When the house was built they put in the electrical wrong? WTF, Electricians evaluation was the house was built over 40 yrs ago.

Worst company ever. Please please please any other home warranty company is better than Select home warranty. If I could give them a minus 0 I would, this is how bad I know they are. First of all, and I will try to summarize they will make you per item, it doesn't matter if it is within the same category, appliances, electric, plumbing, etc. This is how they get you, if it's the clothes dryer and the clothes washer just an example they will charge you $75 each. They partner with National Service Allience which is also horrible. Honestly I wish I could have left a 0 rating. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Please save your $$ and use someone else. We purchased our home in Oct. Like most homes it was used and we purchased the Home Warranty to cover if anything broke. Our HVAC system went out 3 weeks ago. After trying to get them to send someone out for weeks I called a company myself. They came out and deemed that the unit should be replaced as the part for it was no longer available and it won't work without it and could be a safety issue. I purchased the 5-year warranty plan for several of my rental properties and found their service was terrible. They don't have many technicians who are willing to work with them. So they will ask you to find a technician yourself. After I paid the technician according to their instructions, it's very difficult to get reimbursed. Every time I call, they would say check will be send out in two weeks. After 3-4 weeks, I call them again, they would say check would be sent out in two weeks ....
