Here in my town there is no appliance companies local. With my warranty Select Home went out of the way to find a person about 40 miles away and he came on 2 occasions to see the unit and ordered me a part that dealt with a need for anti freeze.
Contracted contracted us after 2 days. Appt was on time and the job was done nicely. Select Warranty told me everything was covered. I paid a deductible and that is all and received a query of how the transaction was completed.
This company has absolutely horrible customer service. They will put you on hold and disconnect the call, promise to email you and never reply, make up departments that are the "ones not responding" and on top of that they have no HVAC contractors in a city of over 80k and you will get nothing from them and have to shell out money for the repair out of your pocket and they will absolutely not respond to get you any reimbursement after you have provided "pictures of the unit", invoices, service receipts etc. I will be filing complaints and charges with the State today. Do not waste your money.
Please and glad I am a SHW customer. In the span of 2 months I had to have my fridge and water heater fixed. Both was done very responsibly by a SHW Vendor. The water heater took 4 days to fix and the fridge 2. In both cases really good professionals were set.
TREE Appliances from SW was very professional. They came in and attended to all my problems in a quick manner. i made a double claim which covered my washer and dryer machines. Both were floor samples and I saved money but they seemed break only after a year. Both had some electronic parts that were not functioning and both were taken care of and I did not have to pay a double deductible.
Its been really impressive how with Select Home Warranty they actually called me mid policy to make sure everything was working and up to date. I had some concerns about my pool and they told me that was an extra feature. I added it in and a week ago with the cold weather the pool just cracked. I called claims and was hoping that this would be taken care of before it got worse. Wonderful is an understatement. The next day a pool company came and cemented it back and sealed it. Glad i added the feature.
This company is a scam and fraud. They do not come through and fix things nor reimburse you when you go out of pocket. They should be investigated and put out of business. I would never recommend them for anything.
I am a realtor and I tell all my clients about the SHW service, both buyers and sellers. I have my own property and they have been with me for 7 years. They have had mainly to replace my appliances and parts and they always treat me amazingly and I never have to worry about buying a new appliance again with this plan.
Select Home Warranty has done great work with their service providers. The plumbing in my house was not releasing into the main drain in the street. Fixed. The Electric behind some wall panels had a short. Fixed. And I am thankful for that.
So please with the suprisingly good experience when fixing my washer. This contractor was helpful and friendly and explain in detail what was wrong. Then when he left he made sure my room was spotless!
