Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

I have had this warranty company now for over two years.... sometimes they come thru, other times, not so! This week, for instance, I happen to have both a plumbing issue and an air conditioning issue both on the same day. They sent over a plumber, he checked the situation, called them, and they said it was not covered due to the fact that it was not able to be done on the ground level. That's crap! So, I ended up having to pay $300 for the cleanest of the drainpipe myself, plus the fee for the tech to come from Choice. Then the air conditioning guy came..... He told them the freon was leaking. They told him it was not covered! Then I had to spend $375 for this guy to do a special... Read More
My contract expires next month & I couldn't be happier. There are a lot of items that were not covered & I thought they should be. I have a pool problem right now & I called to open up a claim & was told that my pool is no longer covered. That did it for me. Can't wait to dump them.
We just purchased our warranties (1 for each of 2 homes) today so have never made a claim. Therefore this evaluation is made only for the purchase process. We received a call from a sales agent at CHW within 1 minute of placing an online request for a quote. Barry was very helpful, explained the coverage and answered all our questions thoroughly. He also asked whether either of us was a senior or a veteran to see if we qualified for a discount based on either status. The final cost was excellent, quite a bit lower than the cost for the other 2 companies we contacted for essentially the same coverage. The rep is talked to was very good. He explained the program well.
I called Choice Home Warranty because they were one of the highest rated home warranty providers. The sales staff were knowledgeable and helpful. However, having never had a claim, I can not offer an opinion on how well they settle claims.
My initial claim was handled very well and already have a scheduled service call the morning. Thanks
I know you are in business to sell your product. I called other companies of course, but your firm offered me the best deal. Alberto was great in explaining everything to me, and offering me a great rate.
If your service is as good as your salespeople, you have a great company. As far as I can tell, your company is woth the 5 star ratint I gave you.
The guy was very pushy and kept trying to upsell me to a 5yr plan, I told him at least 5 times no and eventually said just cancel the whole process. I went forward and then he tried to sell me the 3yr plan and when I said no he said you are making a big mistake. Basically calling me stupid. I still bought the product due to pricing but hope service if I need It is better than my sales experience.
The agent was very helpful and I purchased insurance and cancelled the other policy I had for 7 years.
