Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

This two stars not is really for you is for the company came to do the service “Custom Plumbing and HVAC the technician MIKE ,he came and told me the house is fine the A/c work I told himn yes because all day long is cloudy and I just turn on the central unit I have on Teo floor fans and one window unit in bedroom. He charge me $45 check the unit and told me just need one pound of gas (Freon) next time I do put on the gas and sign here in his phone I did and he left later on my text came the service is finish. When he only read the pressure and said need a Freon and not do nothing else.

I feel the replacement cost offered to me was low due to the actual age of the appliance and the initial cost. However, I was happy to get an increased replacement cost after a discussion with a case manager. Overall I am pleased and will continue to be a customer of Choice Home Warranty. I would recommend CHW to anyone and have done so already.

The technician was prompt, helpful and efficient. It was disappointing to hear the company vm was inaccurate w/ stating the technician would have to wait an hour for a cnf to complete the work. I called another # and was told that outgoing message was old and a rep would be available in 15 mins. I was also disappointed to hear that the technician had to haggle to get your company to pay a fair price for the part. I’m also questioning if the part is used/refurbished. I was never given the option to say whether or not I wanted a new part or refurbished one. Is that how repairs through you typically happen? I am thankful for the repair and truly hope it works longterm.

Quick and responsive, and the representatives have been very prompt and professional. The people who have come to make repairs are intelligent and give you their opinion of what needs to be done ,and then they make the repairs unless it is a matter of ordering parts to make the repair.
