Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

I have been subscribe to Choice Home Warranty for over 2 years. My first attempt to use the service was a big disappointment. The servicing agent that CHW sent out was dishonest, deceptive, and of the poorest standard. I gave him $500 for services to be rendered and never saw him again. Fortunately CHW did reimburse me and paid for the services he was to perform. I reached an agreement with CHW that I would be able to hire a service mechanic of my choice and CHW would reimburse for the work. I have had several small cases that I chose to take care of myself and on 3 separate occasions I paid for my service mechanic that I trusted to do the work. I did not ask for reimbursement... I have a double oven it had a lock malfunctioning. It's an internal lock that makes the oven stop working. Also the cooling fan went out. They denied my claim claiming the lock was excluded under the exclusions of "door seals" A door seal is the seal around the door that seals the oven. They were fraudulently expanding the use of door seal to deny my claim. I appealed and received no response. They offered to pay for just the cooling fan and 1/2 the labor which is a fraction of the cost of the repairs. I'm so disgusted with this company. My ac went out on our first heat wave of the season. Called for service on Wednesday. Was given a appointment on the following Wednesday! That was not acceptable. I did get a email saying that i could call my own company in and they would be able to contact first choice to authorize the repair and I would be reimbursed at a later date.
I was able to contact the service scheduled company. The first call changed the service call from Monday to Sunday and then Saturday night. He was right on time 5 pm! Had be up and running by 6!
It took three days. I don’t think I could have any better luck with AHS my old company for at least 15 years.
FANTASTIC SERVICE I CALLED AND THE NEXT DAY THE TECHNICIAN CALL ME TO SET AN APPONTMENT, THEY CHANGE THE OLD THERMOSTAT FOR A NEW ONE IN TWO DAYS EVERYTHING WAS FINE THANKS
Arrived a little bit late but the problem was sussexfully taken care
We've been running temperatures of 90+ in SC for the last couple of weeks and of course, my a/c goes out. CHW lined up Landrum Heating and Air LLC to come out. Thankfully, it was the fan motor and Josh Bowers was able to get a replacement and installed it the next morning. Cool air! Josh and his wife, Ginger, were very professional, honest and determined to get everything resolved ASAP. The initial call was Saturday PM and they came back Sunday morning to do the repair. I couldn't ask for anything more.
This is the fourth time I have used Choice Home Warranty and they have been excellent. Their contractors have been quick to get here and have fixed my problems very efficiently. Very nice and friendly. Joining Choice Home Warranty is the smartest thing I have done!
