Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

If I could give a score of -100 I would. I waited for two weeks with no heat in my home. Once approval was given, the wrong equipment was ordered then I waited three more days until they returned to fix my furnace, I was charged 960.00 for inflated fees, included $300, to remove the old device after the work was complete. After the work was done, no filter was put in my furnace and the technicians blew out the pilot light to my hot water heater, so I had to make another service call to get my hot water working again. And they didn't give me my serial number on the warranty paperwork. This whole process was horrible.

The technician arrived on-time,, polite, and professional. He was able to get the AC thermosate running temorrarly. However He was not able the replace the broken thermonast as I requested because permission had to be granted from "Choice" to replace the thermostat. The technician did call Choice but because of the time difference, did not get the OK until the next day. The house was kept comfortable until the thermostat was replaced two days later. The leval of service the Technician was able to perform was very satisfactory. It would have been much more expedient if Choice had given the approval the first day. of service.

I'm very disappointed about not getting my Ac unit fix. I HAD TWO COMPANY THAT DIDNT SHOW UP So I had to find my own person to give this company a diagnosis. He turn paperwork in twice. Jermaine called and spoke with some one in the service department and they told him to go and price two units and send the estimate back. I made several attempts to contact the company about this issue and they said he has not called or sent the information. So this company sent an AC guy by the name of Patrick to check my ductwork. He was from a company in Shreveport who received permission to check out my unit as well as my ductwork .and with in a few hours my claim was denied. Its crazy how yall keep... Read More
