Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

this is based on the LONG wait for my spa repair. plus your asking me to find a contractor. that is what i pay you for. as of today the repair has not been made, 3 weeks after filing the claim. however a contractor is scheduled for the 29th.

Your sales person misrepresented the coverage. Ac units only covered to 13 SEER BOTH MY HOMES HAVE 16 SEER UNITS. I got pool coverage on my Florida home I specificities asked what was covered and was assured all my pool equipment was covered including a salt water system I was assured it was. It’s not according to your list of covered items and I had to pay EXTRA for coverage for my ice maker. Consider this notice your a scam and I’m contacting my credit card company. I’m very pleased with the service I received from CHW. I noticed a pond of water underneath my kitchen sink and was unaware my garbage disposal had been leaking. I put a claim in with CHW and was notified in less than 12 hours that a plumbing company would be contacting me to set an appointment date. The day of the appointment, Certified Plumbing called prior to their arrival to let me know they were on their way. The technician Jason was very professional and knowledgeable. He replaced my garbage disposal and recommended a few other suggestions. I’ve been a CHW customer for the past 3 1/2 years and I’m extremely satisfied with their service.

Excellent job it was a power switch to my washer, done neat and quickly. Service man was clean and worn a mask very polite ask to wash up and for a paper towel to dry his hands. Wrote up the work order for me to sign I did and he left. I would have this Company at my home for other appliances services.

Good customer service I have to say. I liked also that on a weekend I was able to speak to someone live. It was hard to be down with an ac unit. But the team had a tech out in within 1 business day. I knew it would be hard to get someone out on a weekend, especially Fathers Day weekend. But Choice customer support and Dispatch did a great job to manage and update the support of the open case. I am happy to say AC unit fixed today and cold air in the house. Choice warranty is worth having the coverage in the house.
