Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Why do you say your open 24/7, when your not. Even though I was able to make a claim the service support closes down at 5PM. So if you have questions about that call no one will answer them until the following day.

Choice Home Warranty is a fine company but they neglect to tell you all that you need to know such as before you have an electrician come to your house with a bad ceiling light, they do not cover lights!!! Buy a new light before the electrician comes, to have it ready so that you don't have to pay for a 2nd visit at $148.50 and you have already paid $65.00 for the 1st visit and now will also have to buy the light fixture. Nice people in customer service and they made the appointment for me and on time. But.

fast talking salesman focused on up-selling. decided they were the best deal. signed with them. waited the 10 mins for policy to be emailed. no policy arrived. called the same number i had just used. different man answered. when he told he he would help me he hung up. I called right back. no answer. let it ring 119 times. no answer. no voicemail. an hour later policy showed up. still cannot reach anyone with questions. if my realtor had not recommended this company I would swear I had been scammed. very poor customer service as money was the focus.

I was very pleased, and pleasantly surprised, by the speed which my claim got taken care of. In just over an hour from the time I filed my claim until the assigned repair company called to confirm the appointment for service.
