Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

This is my first claim with Choice and it has net been a good experience. I have been told a contractor would be assigned within 4 hours and finally after the 5th day, I called a contractor in my own and chose the reimbursement process. After getting the approval and submitting the amount that was paid, I received an email that a little over half of what I paid will be reimbursed. I called again and was told someone would contact me within 4 hours and I never heard from anyone. I have left a message for the claims processor, but am still waiting on a call or email.

Your Tech, that came was very good and repaired the dishwasher in a very short time. But, when I got your e-mail about when you were sending a Tech. ,I tried to call the telephone number in the e-mail, because we had a conflict with the day and was trying to change the time or day the Tech could come. This was impossible to do because all I got was a message to text you. This was not possible, since I cannot text from my phone. So I had to get my son to come and let the Tech. do his job. This was very poor customer service from your scheduler when I could not contact you to change the appointment time.

Really appreciated the quick response and turnaround. The only thing that held me back from giving this a 5-star rating is the non-explain of the additional charge besides the $85-dollar service charge. All they have to say was it was some kind of deductible or co-pay, and I would've understood. But instead, they just gave me all kinds of long reasons that did not make sense, but don't have time to rebut. Otherwise, like I said, overall mighty fine job. Well done CHW

Talking too fast but very nice and helpful. Got me a few discounts and was fast. Did not however let me know when my second payment is being taken out of my bank and I had to call them back to find out.

I was rescheduled three tomes because there was misconnection between the contractor and Home Choice. Home. Home choice did not cover my claim on my garage door after I waited over a week to get door fixed. I was not happy with your company with the results of this claim. The service tech did a great job though.

Angel AC Is the best service provider for AC and heating systems as well as appliances. Rodys is absolutely our favorite technician. He is dependable, trustworthy, Knowledgeable, and he’s just a nice guy. Because of Rodys, we will always call on Angel AC for repairs that are not covered under our Choice Warranty contract.
