Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Awesome Customer Service, Communications & Response. kind of disappointed with the solution, Contract establish that any appliance in case of No repair will be replaced, and I was told by the Technician and the person that took my Claim who did things just right and very Professional, after conversation I was very pleased .....just for a day when I received an email explaining everything about my case.... ITEM WAS NOT REPLACED they just offer Me a Gift Card from Lowe's for $350 ....????/ I'm NOT complaining about it I did buy my Dryer for $758.00 of course today's prices something that Choice Home did not care about; but to increase price on the Policy because inflation matters Hah... it... Never ever buy CHW. They cannot maintain their tecnicians due to the complicated reimbursement and red tape they require of them. The same red tape is required of those who subscribe to CHW. They delay repairs. They allow 48 hours for a technician who has a contract with them to pick it up — which they don’t have many who any to work with them because of the reduced fees and required lengthy red tape. Then they ask the subscriber to find their own technician. But to be reimbursed they require the technician who is not under contract with them to go through the same red tape of those who they are contracted with. Choice was gracious enough to help us get the tech from Brodi to come sooner than the scheduled day of 29 November because we were going out of town for Thanksgiving and couldn’t leave our home unprotected . To my amazement Choice reached out to me and said they had reached to Brodi and I received a text to see if I would be available that very day …yesterday 21 Nov at 3 PM. Every time I’ve needed them they have been useless. I ve didn’t even call them on a couple of issues because I know it would be days before anyone would come out and it would be the lowest bid and crappy workmanship.

This was a biggest mistake to choose Choice Home Warranty. When we signed the contract everything sounds very nice, until we opened the case and declined by the case manager with the unreasonable explanation. We won't recommend this company to people and also we will put our concern on google to prevent people to make same mistake like us.

Choice Home Warranty: 1. Does hot cover what contact says it will cover 2. Does not allow you to cancel contact with pro rated return 3. Makes it nearly impossible to reach an agent 4. Takes far too long to respond to a service call 5. Only gives you a contract after you sign up for service 6. Treats it’s customers rudely 7. Etc. Etc.
