Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Misled and rushed on the plan that has a 3k cap on A/C units. I was under the impression that it was fully covered! I called to cancel the same day and got the run around with a real fast rude talking customer service rep that wanted to rush the call. I gave my credit card info & I hope there are no issues getting a refund. or if the unit will be 100% covered than I will change the rating and keep Choice.

I am very disappointed that after I paid the $60 service call fee to the repair specialist chosen by Choice Home Warranty, he determined that my dishwater couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced, but instead of replacing my dishwasher, Choice Home Warranty only gave me the option to accept $246 in Lowes gift cards when it will cost me a minimum of $750 or more to have Lowes replace it. Very unfair business practice on the part of Choice Home Warranty!

The technician who came was excellent....Not always the case with Choice Warranty...They were the third company they had to call after the others all failed to either show up or were not told what the problem was... Then Choice said they would not accept the claim...I spoke to one of their employees who seemed not only distracted, but also, not at all aware of Choice's policies... I spent 20 minutes on the phone with him .....A waste of time!

Very happy with the service from Choice Home Warranty. I just wish the repair company (plumber, in this case) would have been able to come out in less than a week, and also not have to come back a different day to make the repair that was very quick to make.

Our 5 stars are strictly a rating for the technician. As far as Choice Warranty, we are very DISAPPOINTED. We currently have 2 claims in your system. Our 1st claim about our dishwasher was placed a week ago and a technician has still not been out to access. The 1st appointment the technician could not make it and the next appointment is not until next week. Why do you say service within 24 hours?? Choice Warranty should have more technicians or allow us to get a technician that could work with you about what is allowed so things could be taken care of in a timely fashion. We definitely will give a lot of thought before we renew our membership.😩

I wanted to leave a good comment; however, circumstances wouldn't allow it. As a leaky ceiling is still at my home after being notified by the technician of the problem. The shower needed to be recorked or sealed to stop the leaking in my dining room. A small task that was DISAPPROVED by Choice Home Warranty. I was qouted a from their book which I don't have a copy of, However; to notice where the leak was coming from water had to be ran to see the ceiling leaking. Yet it is still leaking, a JOB UN DONE,

Haven't had a service call yet (but one is coming soon) but your website is extremely easy to use with no hassle. For someone who uses a computer all day and gets very frustrated trying to maneuver from point to point, your page is very easy to understand and very easy to use.
