Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Customer service reps continue to lie with total disregard. I'm not sure they could, or would, tell the truth about anything. I lined up a server technician, within the network. Setup the appointment time, everything. The customer service reps refused to accept it and made sure that my wife's range did not get repaired for an additional several weeks!! Why??? When I asked to speak with the customer service reps manager, he told me he was as high as there was. When I switched to Choice, I was told that ALL customer service reps were US based. Hmmm. Filing the claim you were very responsive I was impressed with that however, there was a lot of confusion between Access, Garage Door Company and what they were going to do or what you were allowing them to do. It seemed like a battle for them which was very disappointing

I have Choice Warranty and they are a total Scam. My Dryer broke and they could not fix it, so instead of Replacing it as the Warranty says they offered me $335 to get a new one .My Dryer was a Maytag that cost $1079 new. Then it takes 30 days to get paid while you sit with broken Appliances. Worst Customer Service ever. I had First American before and I'm going back to them. These people are Scammers.

Choice home warranty is a peace of mind when it comes to picking a home warranty. I had a power outage on one side of my kitchen where my refrigerator was plugged in. I filed my claim and they had an expert out in no time and took care of the issue with no stress or concerns. I highly recommend them if you like your peace of mind. I have recommended Choice Home Warranty to family members and friends because they are professional, have great customer service, and send out experts to take care of the issues.

Home choice warranty has helped me throughout the years repairing problems. I was unable to get to this. Warranty is great for property owners they don’t live near the property.. it’s also great. I have been told for tenants that is responsible for repairing something that damaged .

not happy with denial of fixing my roof leak that I pay for! I told them before I took out the extra coverage of limited roof leak that I have a foam roof and they said that's fine! Go back and listen to your recordings of phone calls you say you record! I made it very clear what kind of roof it is!!!! They have fooled around with no show roofers for 3 months! The one that finally comes they deny? Sorry, but that's ridiculous! I need this leaked fixed NOW! I pay extra for it!
