Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

I called customer service 3 times and was on hold for 35 minutes no one answered. They dont cover much. My built in microwave went out they didn't covered and i had to pay $65 service call. My ac went out they didn't cover. Keep your money.
Whew! Did I just dodge a bullet with NOT signing up with this company. The sales rep was so aggressive that he would not even allow me to speak. He hung up on me in anger because I did not sign up immediately. What is up with this company?
I received excellent and prompt service from the CHW representative and 24 Hour Air.
This was my first experience with CHW and I'm very pleased with the service.

They've stopped paying out claims. Normal wear and tear on a central ac/heat condenser 13 years old isn't accepted. Comment was condensers don't go out for normal wear and tear. 13 years old and that's not considered normal wear and tear.
Hello! I'v been a customer for this terrible scam warranty for 2 months and I insured 2 properties, house and condo. My water heater went off and I needed to replace, it took multi phone calls and 5 days tills somebody responded: we cannot promise anything, because we cannot fix this, and this. Laying and promises after promises till I had to cancel and lose money. Finally I called the plumer and paid out of packet a full cost!!! I would never come back and trust this "warranty"!!! I told my friends and co-workers about this scam "Choice", and I will warning you: Don't trust them!!! There are better companies out there you can trust! Don't wast your money and time!!! Irina. James from Somers Point Appliances did an excellent job on our dryer and on our refeigerator. He solved both problems very quickly and efficiently.
He called us as soon as he received information from the dispatcher. He was able to set a time that was agreeable for both of us. He arrived on time, had all of the appropriate and necessary tools, and did an excellent job.
We are very please and will definitely will request him for any future problems that we have.

After reading several of the reviews i've noticed the similarity in my claim regarding my AC unit. I just purchased my house 2 years ago with brand new ac units but the coils and other equipment weren't replaced they were still in good condition. I had an ac coil leak and was denied, the technician completed the form and did not indicate any further issues or any rust etc however, CHW denied my claim for excessive rust. After doing mediation they still refused to approve the claim. I spoke with the technician and he informed me it was just ac coil look, however, the warranty company will find any reason to deny the claim. My Hvac system was out I call the office! Customer service was great! One hour later I receive a email about my technical guy ! The next day my Hvac was working great thank to CHW
Home central air condidtoner would not start I call Home Warranty for service and less than 24 hours later a serviceman came to repair the air conditioner and running great again. The transformer burn out transfer was replaced and air conditioner is running great, thank you very much.
