Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

I have had Choice Home Warranty for almost 2 years now and I have used their service about 4 times now. I have used their website to report the claim and in about 1-2 hours I get a call back with a technician assigned to my claim. All the service technicians assigned were professional and showed up on time. I am glad I have home warranty with Choice and I would recommend them to anyone who needs home warranty.

We switched to Choice when we bought our own home 2 years ago based on research, great reviews & a lower cost. I haven't been disappointed! I just used CHW bc my a.c. stopped working and they had a company out quick and then followed up a day later to make sure the problem was fixed. I definitely recommend this company!

This is my first claim in CHW, The outlets in master bathroom and secondary bathroom broke down. I submitted my claim online, it's very convenient. But I forgot to claim that one of the outlet in the kitchen is also broken down.I received the call back for scheduling shortly. The guy came to my home and got the outlets in the bathrooms repaired quickly. But he refused to repair the outlet in the kitchen, because I did not claim it. In summary, the service is good, the claim system is convenient, and do not forget anything when you make a claim.

It was very easy to put in a work order online. Within a hour a representative from Choice called me with the name and number of a reputable plumber in my area that came to my house and provided me with excellent service. I am very happy.

I was so happy and impressed with the service we received from Choice Home Warranty. Our central air stopped working on a very hot and humid night. I have a lung disease so this was very bad for my breathing. This happened the day before the 4th of July, so I thought oh boy we won't get help until the 5th. Much to my surprise we had a service technician here by 9:30am on the 4th. He promptly fixed the air conditioner, so within less than 24 hours after I called Choice Warranty it was repaired. I feel the service was beyond excellent and am very happy we have them.

They are by far the worst home warranty company. Last 3 claims all denied. Paid extra for ice maker inclusion and the 3 companies they sent all went out of business after their initial visits. Hasn't worked since our 1st call in May 2016! Over 1 year. Now we have been without a/c for 2 weeks waiting for a part. Today I called to see what the hold up was and they said "we don't cover expansion valve replacement!" They didn't even call us!!! It is 96 degrees in Florida! Terrible contractors, mostly fly by night...in business today and out tomorrow.

When I arrived at my summer home, the air conditioner was not cooling. I called Choice Home warranty and they sent a technician over the next day. He fixed my AC and its working great. My summer home is in a resort area so its difficult to find techs to work on things. With Choice Home warranty , they take the worry off of me of trying to find a reliable technician. Thanks:
