Overall Rating: 5 / 10 (Average)

2-10’s home warranties provide excellent value. While their service fees and base-level premiums fall within the industry average, their itemized caps are quite generous. By maintaining a high BBB rating, despite a high number of negative reviews, 2-10 demonstrates that it is capable of addressing its customers’ concerns. Though their money-back policy is only available by written request, their resulting administration fee is lower than their competitors. 2-10's lack of a waiting period, as well as allowance of outside contractors, is highly appealing.

2-10’s home warranties, unlike many competitors, exclusively offers hybrid plans. Although the number of covered items advertised are on the low side, their lack of an annual cap makes up for it. Focusing on item caps instead, 2-10 allows for a generous $1,500 per appliance and $1,000 per system.

My grandmother purchased a home warranty with her house, AC compressor failed on 4 May. As of 16 June they say it will be 3 more weeks for the compressor to come in because it is on back order. The original compressor that came in was wrong and I found out today that the original service company cut out the old compressor over a month ago and left the refrigeration system sealed with only electrical tape. I can get the compressor through my business in 4 days and install it but they refuse to pay my actual cost for the compressor with no mark up. They said they will only pay about $450 less than my cost. There are 3 people with medical issues living in the house. My grandmother is 78. The... Read More

This in one of the worst companies for Home Warranty. I have a issue with water dispenser in the refrigerator and it's been going on for 7 months, can you believe it. After 3 visits by different contractors assigned by them, its still not working. Finally they tell me it's design issue and its not covered and I should contact GE the manufacturer. When I call them,I am transferred to different departments with a wait time of over 45 minutes. Not sure how I can get this resolved? Water dispenser issue in refrigerator, is a design issue, is a worst excuse ever heard.

My 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty seems worthless. My AC went out and we have an 80 year old with COPD living here. 2-10 told us they couldn't get someone out for 3-4 days and they agreed the situation was an emergency. We were told we should contact someone to assess situation and call it in to 2-10. Contractor found fan motor burned out, capacitor bad, freon low, and since the unit was over 20 years old they recommended replacement. 2-10 jerked us around for days "reviewing" claim, reviewing by "high dollar claims," then saying they needed their contractor to come out. I had the unit replaced rather than continue waiting knowing that 2-10 would only cover cost of "band-aid" fix. They... Read More

I put in a service request on May 4 for our air conditioning. It is May 26 and it still has not been fixed. I've been on hold their purchasing department for 126.93 minutes and still counting. I've spoken with numerous people who have been friendly, professional, informative about the delay, but that has not changed the fact that this request is over 22+ days old. I was told that nothing could be done for another 3 days before the part that was mailed to the wrong location can be resent which will add more time. That will put this service request at around the 30 day mark.

Everyone below me with negative reviews on this fine company just can't see the true purpose. It takes hard work and dedication to be this bad and cause this amount of frustration with paying customers. You guys think it's easy to mess up fixing a fridge 8 times in row...NO! But 2-10 somehow does it and makes it look easy. I stayed home 4 different days throughout the past 12 months to wait for maintenance people to come out and "fix" my fridge. After the 4th time I would still get mad as they said they fixed it with the highest confidence in their raspy voice, but after the 5th time I started to see the amount of dedication it took to come out to my house and pretend to fix my fridge.... I've been in my home for less than 2 years and they have had to come out and "fix" my ice maker twice. Well it's broke again and they want me to pay another $100.00 to come out and fix the same problem. Since it's been over a calendar year from my renewal date to the last date they fixed this problem I have to pay the deductible again which I'm not doing! While I understand policies and procedures I don't understand why they couldn't waive the fee since this issue has been reported a third time. Maybe if they didn't send an incompetent contractor to fix the ice maker the FIRST and SECOND time I wouldn't be so irritated. The supervisor had the nerve to tell me "well it's been fixed for 10... Avoid 2-10 at all costs. This service will waste your time and yield nothing in return but distress. I opened 3 service requests in the span of a year and for each of them 2-10 was unhelpful at best, even with the "Premium" coverage. First request was for a non-functioning dryer outlet. Dispatched company inspected and claimed it was not a failure but an installation issue so it would not be covered and no work was done. They charged the $75 deductible anyway. Second request was for a shower leaking into the basement. Dispatched plumber diagnosed and claimed the issue was weak shower grout which was not covered by warranty. They did nothing else, charged the $75 deductible and left.... Read More

I have 3 contracts with 2-10 and I am a referral partner! I will not renew any of my contracts with 2-10. My HVAC burned up on 01/15/2018 . I have had to call them multiple times. Today DeAnna told me she doesn't know how I fell through the cracks but she would get someone on it tomorrow because today all the management is in training! I has been 40 degrees in my home several time during the cold snap. Customer service stinks! Contractors complain about your inability to answer their calls as well as a business having to wait on hold for 2 plus hours to help one of your customers. Ridiculous! THANKS BUT NO THANKS 2-10! You have lost my business and I promise no more referrals to... Read More

I am in the process of getting quotes for a new Home Warranty company. My experience with 2-10 has been horrible every time! Customer Service is rude and speak down to you. I was without air for 19 days last summer and now my washer is making a horrible knocking noise. 2-10 said because it still works they won't send someone out to look at it. I paid to have a company come look at it and they said it could not be fixed. So 2-10 won't fix it until it just stops working and because of my experience with my air my bet is it wouldn't get fixed anyway. Three people looked at my air and all had different opinions and one even tried to charge me for things that they said had to be brought up to... Read More

Your warranty service is terrible and your customer service dept is non existent. After several months of trying to cancel and get a refund i still have not received either confirmation of cancellation nor refund from your company. Good riddens!!!!!
