The company offers two benefit limit choices: $5000 or unlimited. We prefer plans that offer the option of unlimited coverage, particularly when adding it doesn't drive costs sky-high. That's the case with Pets Best.

Pets Best has no age restriction; they will cover dogs and cats regardless of how old they are. The company does not exclude cruciate ligament issues so long as they occur after a 6-month waiting period. That's a significant competitive advantage for owners of dogs susceptible to that type of illness. In addition, plans include coverage for accidental dental and some dental illnesses.

My dog was diagnosed with diabetes 3/1/21 and the first week his Bills were over1000.00. after my 100.00 deductible I got 80% of all my money back within a week of each individual claim. It was fast and no hassle so far. I am now waiting on a claim rom last Friday and 1 I put in yesterday and don't expect any trouble getting them. I have never had any issues with this company and hope that in the future it stays the same. I am so sorry to hear the reviews that some people give and that they had issues. I guess so far I've been blessed with the hassle free paperwork. I say keep up the great work Pets Best and Thank you from Monty and me.

I’ve had PetsBest for my dog for the past 7 years. While her incontinence issue was present prior to her being insured, she began displaying severe allergies in her first year, and all of her allergy treatments have been covered. She has also needed surgery for both knees at a cost of about $5,000 each. Both of these surgeries and the related care were covered without any issue at all. Many of the complaints here seem to have to do with customers not understanding the concept of a pre-existing condition. Stay away from Pets Best. Progressive should seriously consider revoking their partnership with them, they will totally ruin their brand. I had Pets Best for three months and cancelled, and I'm glad I steered away from this scam organization. I submitted the one and only claim in month one of my journey with them. Despite providing them with all of the information, along with inputs from the Vet, they declined the claim after 7 weeks of sleeping over the details. I am underwhelmed. My dog had an accidental laceration and I took him to the E-vet. I sent the paperwork i that night. It's been sitting in received for 3 weeks, no action. I saw somewhere that they respond to claims in a few days. That's a lie. I'm beginning to think this company is just another insurance scam.

I have 2 Petsbest.com pet insurance policies. I thought it was a great policy(s), but there's always a problem when it's time to get reinbursed. They take forever, plus I send them the actual bill from vet and it's not enough. They state they request more information from vet. Liars, vet has not received anything. The vet tells me what you sent them is exactly what I would send. Plus they take every penny possible. Now with this corona virus, they demand information from vet, don't they understand that the vets are very busy and I submitted everything the vet would. They just don't wanna pay. I will let my friends and family know about this insurance and convince them to change companies.... Read More

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company at all costs. We adopted a dog from a shelter in July, as with our other dog we purchased insurance to cover any major costs associated with owning a dog. In September she was diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia an autoimmune disease that causes the white blood cells to destroy platelets in the blood stream. There is no warning and it can never be considered a preexisting condition. I have emailed them records from my vet, the sanctuary's vet, the vet where she had leg surgery for an ACL, the previous owners vet. They delay paying on claims by stating they have not received documents. I have opened a complaint with the better business... Read More

This is the worse pet insurance I have had. Reimbursements are taking up to 39 days. Calling to get information is ridiculous. Wait time is 55 minutes, so there is no quick way to get answers. I don’t recommend Pets Best insurance to anyone.

Theres a reason these guys don't have review sharing options all over the web..Because they are hiding something .. False information on websites, noBODY RESPONDS on the phone .. hold times were over an hour.. Thousand and thousands of claim complains not managed .. I filed a complaint against them with BBB let's see what happens ..stay away .. save your money ..

I have had this ins for nearly 7 years and so far I feel like I've been paying premiums for NOTHING. They have denied ALL of my claims and I've been paying over 100. 00 a month for both dogs. My premiums just keep going up and if you want the best coverage the monthly premiums are outrageously expensive. So if we do the math I've paid over 7,000 to this company and didn't see a dime back in my pocket.
