Never ever use this service for your bookings! Save your nerves. You don't know how good or bad a booking service is until things go wrong. Here is my case: I booked appts. in Nuremberg, Germany month before arrival, paid the full price. Just four days before arrival I got message from property owner saying I have to deposit 200 euro as "damages deposit". At this point I can't cancel my booking and get refund as I am not in cancelation free period. The info about deposit was NOT stated either in description or while check out. After navigating through the Agoda site I realized that the dates I had put in were constantly changing every time the page updated or changed. I booked three different hotel rooms for the same night but the first one was one day off because it had changed and I did not catch it. I was more careful with the subsequent bookings, however, when I reached out to Agoda to change the date by one day they told me the booking was non refundable. I said I was not looking for a refund but to change the date...to which customer service informed me that there are no amendments or changes. Strongly warn against this company. Do not use them. The customer support team is not helpful at all. They reply promptly but makes no progress every time. To make things worse, they give out misleading and even false information. In my scenario, a delay caused by them caused me to lose 400 over USD because I couldn't cancel my hotel on time. Do not use them. No remorse or any partial compensation given .
just as I clicked the button to book the hotel, I noticed the date was off by 1 day. No modification or cancelation policy. $350 room booked for a night that I won't be in town. Not cool at all.
Beware of Agoda exchange rates! I booked 4 reservations for Australia. 3 of the 4 bookings were correctly charged with the prevailing exchange rate. The last one I have been trying to get Agoda to explain why suddenly their exchange rates increased (AUD to USD), despite the other three bookings were pretty consistent with the world exchange rates. I understand that exchange rates change hourly/daily, but the difference in rate within a 9 day period for one reservations against the other three doesn't make any sense. Despite providing 3 exchange rate sources and a source that they claim to be using (Bloomberg), they could not articulate the reasons why and kept on going back to the same... Read More
We had a confirmed booking with Agoda. On arrival no one knew of our booking. After an hour on the phone with Agoda they organized a different room and they assured us this was an upgrade at no extra cost. This was so NOT true! We were given a room for 3 people (we booked a room for 6) and we are a party of 5. On check-out we also had to pay more as quoted by Agoda (this is included taxes etc.) When confronted Agoda they were just hiding behind the fact they booked through a partner and it was out of their control. Seriously!!! I honestly can't recommend a company that obviously does not care about its' customers and will treat them as if they are stupid.

Don't use the service! We secured a "hotel" for a trip to Boston at the sonder. Worst experience ever!
Besides the horrible and non-existent customer service, they quoted a "Total Price" and later charged a $110 CLEANING FEE AND 17.95% TAX to the credit card.
Steer clear of both Agodo.com as well as Sonder.com if staying in Boston. Fraudulent!
