Cancellation Policy
Unless specifically mentioned otherwise in the cancellation policy, Agoda does not charge a processing fee for cancellations. Any cancellations received after the cancellation due date specified in the confirmation email (including requests made within this period) are subject to a minimum of a 1 (ONE) night cancellation fee, unless you are notified otherwise in the confirmation email. Failure to arrive at your hotel will be treated as a late cancellation and will incur a minimum cancellation fee of one (1) night, or more, per room, unless otherwise specified in the confirmation email. Any changes to your reservation must be made through Agoda and not directly with the hotel. This applies to change of dates, extension of stay, early check out, delay of arrival or cancellation in full or in part. Any problems or questions on your reservation prior to arrival or during your stay at the hotel should be directed to our Agoda Customer Support Specialists. We must be notified of all cancellations within our normal office hours from 08:00-18:00 (GMT+7).

However, a simple tab next to their filtering options leads to "secret deals," which promise high-end accommodations at steep discounts. These properties prefer to remain anonymous online, so customers don't know their exact identities until they complete their booking. The website shows cheapest rate so I booked through them. You got what you paid for. Be aware of the currency SCAM. It is for an oversea hotel. Price was originally showed in USD, but after selecting 'pay later' option, it changed to local currency which made me believe that is one will be charged on. However when charge show up, it was a lot more. Called in and found out they charged USD instead of local currency which is in my case $150 MORE for 4 night stay. Also emailed them, simply ask them to recharge my card with local currency, got refused. Seems like they have a standard script to answer this type of question which shows it is not the first time and likely won't be last time... Read More

Literally offered a deal and then charged 5x the amount I agreed to. Then refused to communicate with me about the cancellation. Then I had to get my credit card fraud team on them, and only then did they relent and work with the fraud team . . . never me, the fraud team.

Agoda charged my credit card for a booking that didn't happen because of site difficulties it was experiencing. Eventually I found out that this was a small pre-authorisation charge that's reversible. But in the time I took to find out exactly what was happening, I also discovered that: 1. It is impossible to get Agoda's attention without a valid Booking ID. Even if you have a valid billing question like that one I had, you cannot get past Agoda's automatic asks for a Booking ID and get to a customer service person to speak to. 2. I reserved a hotel in Tokyo via Agoda for the period Dec. 16-19 as a standby for another reservation when the first hotel advised me that they could not guarantee a non-smoking room. The standby reservation consistently said on every page as I worked through the reservation process on Agoda.com that the reservation was cancellable - "Free Cancellation" - "Free Cancellation" - "RISK FREE Cancellation" and "RISK FREE cancellation before 23:59 on December 13, 2008." When the first hotel said it could now confirm non-smoking rooms I went to Agoda.com to cancel my standby reservation - only to find a statement that the reservation had to have been cancelled 45 days in advance and otherwise I... I AGREE WITH THE COMMENTS BELOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY BEING A SCAM. THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. I RESERVED one room and was charged for two rooms and when I informed the company that I was doubled book the agent told me even after he saw that I did not make the reservation that I would still be held accountable for the charge and he could not refund my money and then he told me there was nothing he can do for me and hung up on me. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. Their customer service and business practices are the absolute worst. Do not trust this service. I reserved a hotel in New York City online through Agoda. I received an email saying I would receive an emailed confirmation of booking in 10 minutes. I did not. In fact, I never received a confirmation email confirming the booking (yes, I checked "spam drain' to be sure). However, Agoda DID charge my credit card for the hotel booking, more than 700.00 US. DO NOT USE With Agoda I've experienced the worst customer service ever. I booked an hotel through them and after few hours they informed me that it was fully booked. They offered an alternative accomodation but they never followed up. I was left waiting for their emails to receive instructions about the method of payment and info about the new accomodation. I got three replies, all of them from a different customer service agent with no clue about what was going on. Ten days before my departure I had no accomodation, I had to book a new one with very limited choice left especially in term of price.
