Its massive network of over 2 million properties is backed by countless user reviews. They were one of the earliest companies of their kind in Asia when they launched in 2005.

We were double booked and double charged for a room we booked online with Agota for the Quality Inn in North Bend OR. When we tried to contact them to cancel one we were transferred from one place to another and put on hotel several times. When we got to the hotel the desk clerk canceled the duplicate reservation. We were told we would need to call to get a refund. The number we called transferred us to Priceline who transferred us to Get-A-Room. After a long frustrating discussion with their representative she agreed to refund the second day but said she would not refund the first day because we did not give a 24 Hour notice. Bait and switch. Said hotel was 175 a night, booked and it was 195 a night. Ended up payed 224 a night with taxes and fees. Even though I had screen shots and it still showed 175 they refused to fix it. I could have gotten a better room on another site (with a view). This is the SECOND time I have been charged a different base amount than what the initial page says. Have fun talking with someone from half way around the world who will say it is somehow your fault while admitting the site is marked wrong
Terrible company. Their website timed me out when I was making a payment and then raised the price by $70 for the same room. But they processed it anyway after I booked somewhere else, and refused to refund. Don't do business with them.
The dates on my confirmation 5/21-22 were different from those requested - 5/7-8. Every time I try to register the promised email to allow me to reset a password fails to arrive.
It's impossible to talk to a human being.
Planning legal actions against Agoda but wanted to share my experience with you as well!! We booked a hotel room in NY for 2 adults and 3 kids through Agoda.com and received a confirmation for our booking. Once in the hotel, the hotel front desk informed us that Agoda only made a booking for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were allocated a room that can only sleep 4 with no option to add an axtra rollaway bed to accommodate the 5th person in our party due to NY state Laws. The payment details is confusing and misleading.
My CC was charged for 1 day but in payment details showing to pay full to the hotel.
Agoda customer service agent informs that the room is supplied by Booking.com so basically is like even I booked thru Agoda it is
not Agoda responsibility to provide accurate payment info and details.
This is the 1st time I ever made a review, and I decided that this experience I should share with everyone before they make any booking with Agoda. I made a reservation online at Agoda website and select the correct date and number of rooms that i wanted correctly. When i clicked the somehow, the system automatically change the date 1 day earlier to check in and 1 day earlier to check out. I made the 2nd time change to the correct date and then submit the reservation, without knowing, when the transaction submitted, and when i received the email confirmation, I notice the date was wrong. Agoda have a short free cancel time range, compare to other online booking. I didn't realized it double booked room till 20 days before travel. Unfortunately, I can only contact the hotel through Agoda web page, that can't do anything but ask me to contact Agoda, which can't be contacted directly. Will never use it.
I suspect that Agoda is using an algorithmic strategy to "click-bait" and defraud consumers by offering much lower prices but for different dates than the consumer entered. I am out $140. Normally I might just eat this loss because, as I explain below, this was partly my fault. But it outrages me that this appears to be a pattern of defrauding customers. On Wednesday March 6 my flight home was cancelled so I needed to stay the night unexpectedly in Seattle. I used Google Maps to search for hotels, putting in the dates I wished to book for, Wed Mar 6 to Thursday March 7. Terrible company, please book through other websites. I was on my honeymoon and was denied a room that I had booked 1 week in advance with Agoda. I was offered a 50% Agoda cash refund for my inconvenience but this was after days of communicating back and forth through email demanding a refund. In the end I spent my last night on my honeymoon in a lousy hotel room. Please avoid Agoda Hotels at all costs, their integrity, customer support and compensation is terrible.
