NEVER NEVER EVER USE THIS SITE! They are a complete SCAM! It may say "Free Cancelation" But that is a Bold Face Lie! I started a new job (3 hours one way away from my house) I had to be there for 3 days in a row for training. I found a cheap hotel for 2 nights thru Agoda that was near my new job at Disney World called Main Gate Lakeside Resort. On my way to work, a friend of mine called me and asked me where I was staying. When I told her, she read the reviews to me and they made physically ill. I have breathing problems as it is and the reviews are talking about the smells and the dog poop in the hallways, and the doors won't lock and can be pushed it, and the cigarettes smells,... I am giving them 1 star review. I purchased a one night stay through them. I DID pay for the non-refundable price, however by March 16 2020(date of stay) there was a travel ban due to COVID from the US to Ireland. When I reached out to see about a refund, it was denied. I understand a non-refundable price due to me simply not coming, but I thought a global viral outbreak along with an international travel ban would be the exception. I was wrong.
Do not book any rooms through this website. Most of the places, if not all, have false reviews! Places are extremely filthy so much so that the health dept should step in and shut these places down but not first without enforcing heavy fines to the shady owners whom take advantaged of those deceived! I had a very negative experience, contacted customer services and have not heard back at all even though I was promised a return call with a resolution! The room I booked was so filthy and disgusting! The owner (s) have/has to be giving these seedy places a percentage for each person who books a room! Do not book through this site-avoid it all costs! I wish I could leave no stars. I booked a hotel using this site. It says on the site they will collect payment at the hotel. Charge my card immediately. I found that out when I needed to change the date. I mean within minutes. So I'm going to be charge 85% of the booking value. Never, Never. I mean Never again.
HORRIBLE FRAUD SITE! DO NOT USE THEM EVER
They charge fees in a foreign currency without denoting, they change booking dates on you despite what you've entered, and then there is no one to talk to - just a chatbot dead end - so you have zero recourse.

Worst booking company, they are a FRAUD and a SCAM!!!I cannot believe that they have so many stars on this site, I was the victim of a bait and switch and followed their protocols to cancel the reservation at the hotel I DID NOT CHOOSE, then found out that there is no way for the establishment to contact Agoda to let them know that I followed through and cancelled according to the instructions on the Agoda website, and Agoda had the payment so there was no way to reverse the charge. THEY ARE A FRUAD. REPORT THEM TO THE BBB. If you need your money back, dispute with your credit card, take pics, record phone calls, do EVERYTHING. I have never received more awful customer service- there virtually isn't any.
DO NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! My girlfriend and I booked 2 nights through Agoda for the Days INN in Dickenson, TX. The website said that the hotel had breakfast included and clean rooms- NOPE! We checked in on Friday evening and we were back at the front desk within 45 minutes to demand our money back and leave. There were LIVE COCKROACHES in the bed, dead cockroaches in the drawers, holes in the wall, dust and filth everywhere, matresses piled up in the parking lot, a deodarant sticker covering an electrical outlet, holes in he blankets, and a note saying breakfast was not included. BE WARNED! I have hotel booked through Agoda, when I receive an email 3 weeks before my trip, simply saying they made a mistake and they have cancelled my booking. That's it! Nothing else. No offer to figure out something or even to give me the opportunity to pay additional. I've travelled to many places for years and NEVER had this happen. Horrible experience! Will never use again.
I guess I should have looked at the reviews before using this company. Never again will I use them. My booking was cancelled yesterday, even after they have taken payment. I fly out tomorrow and now have nowhere to stay. They stated they canceled my booking for nonpayment but took the payment from my account. I called yesterday to ask why did they take the payment if they canceled my booking. Customer Service stated they had an issue with taking the payment and was refunding it back to my account...now that doesn't make sense.
