They offer hardware for three different categories: security, automation, and energy. Security is the simplest and least expensive, followed by Energy, which includes thermostat and lighting control. The most complete package is Automation, which includes all the other features, as well as remote video and automated locks. The price tag is correspondingly higher.

I just got the system and it is very user friendly and the rates are competitive. I've read the other consumers' reviews and they do tell you everything up front. The. Another sales representative review everything again on the phone. I believe the displeased customers did not listen closely. Everything was clearly outlined in the contract and the salesperson even talked me out of certain items that I thought were cool but wouldn't be benificial to my home. So far I am very pleased and the iPhone app works very well. I even have a code for our babysitter so she can turn off the alarm but does not have access to all my settings on the system. A Fluent sales representative came twice to my door and with a very aggressive sales pitch talked me into trying out their system assuring me there would be no cost if I decided not to stay with them. After I agreed to try out their company with the assurance that I would still have my existing company a tech showed up at my door and dismantled my existing system and attempted to put up theirs. After over three hours of painfully waiting because it was now 9pm and I am completely paralyzed due to a broken neck from falling out of bed, I come to find out that they could not set up their system and my internet was broken. Fluent, used their scam to try and get my mother to change to their system. Their representative claimed to be from Honeywell the manufacturer of the Keypad and was representing her local alarm company whom he saw the sign in the yard and referred to. He said he was scheduling for her free alarm keypad upgrade since the old technology was causing problems with the monitoring and insinuated it was unreliable. There wouldn't be any charge for this, but upon further investigation we found this Fluent Company uses intimidation and deception to get older citizens to change to their service.

My husband signed up for services almost 4 years ago. At the time he was intoxicated and on medication so the salesman took advantage. It was installed when I got home and payment had been set up with my bank account which does NOT have my husband as a signatory. This made me angry so talked to the sales man. I expanded that we may lose our home as my husband had cancer and could not work. I asked what happen if we lose the house. The salesman told e we just needed to report it to the company and they would void the contract and approach the new owner about service. Guess what??? He lied. I have been really impressed so far with my experience with Fluent. The gentleman who came to my home was thorough and professional and explained everything quite well. We were able to save $12 per month without sacrificing any change of service plan over the company that we used to have. I would recommend Fluent to any friends or neighbors without much hesitation.

Their sales reps are liar and use deceptive tactics to get you to buy. I was offered three months of free service, but when I later checked the contract, I found he added the three months to the end of the contract. The service so far has been fair, but response to cell phone activation/deactivation is almost nonexistent it is so slow.

I don't know what the half star people are whining about. The Fluent sales guy who came to my door was very straight forward and no BS. He never tried any nonsense scams or lines. He was straight up. I have worked in the tech field for 22 years and understand the technology... At no point did the sales guy lie or make up stuff to convince me to buy. (He didn't know I was a tech) I went with them mainly because of the sales guy.

This is a horrible company. They appear to be a very reliably Co. They will show you credential. They will show you letter heads from another company asking you if you have received one of these letters from your current alarm Co. They will tell you your current alarm company is going out of business and your rates will be increasing with your current alarm Co. All lies. Do Not Change Your Current alarm to THEM. . They paint a pretty picture but its all based on lies. Once you sign the contract your locked into it for 60 months. You call them on the phone and you sit on hold for ever. Fluent is amazing! They have the best customer service and the representative Jonathan Starley was very thorough and helpful. There was a bit of a delay in the installation and they compensated with a free month. They have the coolest features like the doorbell camera and door lock that can be controlled with an app on my phone. Can't say enough good about Fluent!
