On Oct. 2017 the door bell rang and a representative from Fluent was at our door. I asked him what he wanted and he said " Hi i am Sherman from Fluent Home Security and I'm here to let you we are your new security company and that they have taken over Monitronics Security accounts and we're here to introduce our selves personally to our new customers and also we are here because 2 of your sensors were not working and we here to take care of them at no cost. Also we would like to offer you a free door bell camera at no cost for the camera but 2 or 3 dollars a month more than what we are currently paying." I had a sales rep for Fluent show up to my home on 09/08/18.My advice is to be very firm in telling a Fluent rep that shoes up at your door to leave immediately. I have been looking to add a security system to my home for some time and from what I was told during the sales presentation, the rep was making me an incredible one time offer and so I signed with Fluent believing that if I changed my mind, it would be very easy to cancel within the 3 day grace period per the Customer Transaction Cancellation Agreement provided to me by the sales rep. I had very bad experience with Fluent home security company. First of all, once, I phoned the company, when I was talking on the phone to ask question, the lady hanged up my phone rudely. Secondly, the sales said to give me one month for free. But they did not do what is said and then I spent long time to argue with them. Thirdly, they never respond your emails. More over, I had another issue is that for the first month, I just got four days for their service, they charged me for the whole monthly fee. I did report. They still have not given me my money back.

I've had the system for 2 days now and so far so good. The sales rep. was very thorough about packages and didn't try to sell me a package that I didn't need, and said that I could add additional equipment later. Once I committed to their product he had a tech come to home that same night and did the install. I was a little skeptical at first, I even had questions the next day and they were answered via text. The only thing that I do not like is the 4 year contract agreement. Other than that, this is affordable and user friendly.

Fluent is a high-pressure, no customer service deal for anyone who has the misfortune of stepping into their snare. I was mislead and lied to from the get-go. I listened to the sales tech and tried to cancel according to his instructions within the rediculous three-day time limit. Believe me, it was not honored. They are telling me that I signed a contract with them and I cannot get out of this binding agreement without penalties (which is full payment of the contract time, the way I understand it.) Stay far away from this company! They charge an arm & a leg & have horrible service! They don't return calls, their equipment doesn't work over half of the time, & when an alarm goes off & they call through the panel (if they even call) they put you on hold for a 1-2 minutes before a person comes on the line. Just what I want/need in an emergency.

Video camera only works occasionally, and the programmable thermostat does not work. Installed in June, and 3 months later, want to charge me to fix their faulty equipment. Lousy company. Do not sign up with these guys.

At this time my security system has not been working for a week. I was told they would send a tech to fix the problem. I have not been contacted. I called again to see why no one has called and they inform me they don’t have anyone available. The only contact they have done was to tell me that the alarm system is not working. I’ve had two other alarm systems and have NEVER had issues like this. Poor customer service.

Company was unable to install all the equipment on contract. Many hours spent with contacting company to remove equipment and cancel contract. Just kept trying to have me down grade my contract to less secure and less equipment. Filled complaint with BBB. Continuing to waste my time with this company while living in a not secured home. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company for anything! I wish I could give zero stars for zero service.

When I signed up for this system I made sure to ask if they come out and change the system batteries for free as Vivint did. They assured me they did. Six months into the system and all my batteries are low. I called to have a technician come out to change the batteries to find out there is a $35.00 charge and I have to buy the batteries. Of course customer service rep says she wasn't there when I signed up so she doesn't know what the sales rep told me. When I submit my comment it showed I'm from Ontario.
