I am one of the customers of Fluent. I am from Red Deer and there was a problem on my system,so I called them to send a technician over. The technician named Jimmy came to my house smelling terrible. Uniform stinks and I can smell the alcohol on his breath and body. My husband noticed it too, so he jokingly asked the technician if he wants to drink something like water,coffee or rum and to our surprise the technician said rum and he actually drank it. This should not be allowed. No matter what, he could have at least declined the alcoholic drink since he is working.

I've had Fluent security at my home for a month now. The system is very customisable, and I have had more than a few questions as to how to configure the system to my liking. Tech support has been fantastic and so have the installer/technicians that have come out to help. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this company. They have been very helpful and quick to reply to all the support tickets I've created. I know its only 1 month old but the equipment is working great. Now that I've spent some time on the PC and the phone app learning the system, it is very easy to use. The app loads very quickly and I am able to arm/disarm, look at camera's or see who's at... i had a good experience with both the salesman and the installer, im happy i got the home security that im pretty sure it will make life easier! not only can i now answer my door when im not home but i can unlock it for someone if im not. super awesome !

System works like any other however customer service is.....well there is no service. Doorbell equipment and app are not working properly and I can't get it fixed but I am paying for it. They say they will call back, they say they will bring more signage, they say they will get the issue fixed....nope, once signed up they don't care about their customer. They say they can give you a lower monthly payment, doesn't help if the equipment and app aren't working. Oh, and I found out the doorbell camera they offer as part of the sign up deal is a model they don't sell any more because of issues they have add. I will be canceling my contract.

Fluent repesentative signed me up and said they would cancel from other company we had they did not do this now we are receiving a bill saying we owe 1900 dollars, we called fluent they said we have a five year contract and we would owe a couple a thousand dollars we cannot afford, they have changed their name to titan. we are starting a class action on fluent if we can get enough signers,

We have been with Alarmtek in Saskatoon for 18 years. On March 2/19, we received a letter from Fluent Home and Alarmtek dated Feb 2/19, advising that Alarmtek and Fluent had formed a partnership. On Feb 27/19, we had our smoke alarm go off and we were home and got no call from the monitoring station. Once we got the letter a few days later, it made us think we were not being monitored anymore. I called the numbers listed on the partnership letter but could not get to Alarmtek. I just kept getting into a que for Fluent. A few days later I got a bill in the mail for our monthly charge, however were an annual client of Alarmtek and the rate had gone up 27.5% as we were getting a discount... Read More

Set up = average service = average BUT … unexpectedly selling my house and moving to a lake that does not have internet service and the payout penalty is $2,631.61!!! Ouch!!! Doubt that I would go back to this company and the next time, I will read the contract better …. BUT WHO LOOKS FOR A PAYOUT REGULATION WHEN YOU HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF SELLING???

Although we thought the security system was a little expensive (con), we loved it in the beginning. They came and installed quickly and everything worked (pros). The problems showed up when needed changes. - When you need things changed (such as moving, needing different sensors, reinstallation, uninstallation, etc.) they may not show up or take weeks or months (they don't forget to bill you though) - They are not thorough (They did not look at our account at all to prepare installation and didn't bring what and who they needed to complete the re-install) - They don't communicate amongst themselves well ( I reminded the office staff over the phone about things we needed and the tech... I am a fluent customer and am very disappointed with system I need it for the shop mostly and have had nothing but trouble it goes off line all the time and beeps in the house the you can’t arm the system the cameras never worked properly they finally replaced them but the rest still doesn’t work properly I have spent countless hours on hold to get through to them if you call tech support they say they will call you back and don’t trying to get ahold of the manager is next to impossible they say she will call you back that doesn’t happen. This company installs inferior equipment and fails to tell you about how the recording side of it works. I was just told, after being with them for 2 years, the there is a 50-60 second downtime between recordings. There is no way to change the downtime. It is factory set. They call it a loop. So, if someone comes to my home, takes something out of he back of a truck or breaks into a car in the driveway and quickly leaves while the system is on loop, then there is no recording of it.
