First of all, I was very impressed that the Eargo folks suggested that a less-expensive older model would likely serve my limited hearing loss. All my contacts with the company have been very positive. They've got some great people on-staff!
I have used their devices for several years. Initially, I was satisfied with the performance of the devices, as I experienced few problems. Since I got my current pair of Neo HiFi (a little over a year ago or so), I have encountered one problem after another -- from the devices not easily making contact in the charger (despite obsessive cleaning of the contacts), to one after another device failing. Currently, the device for the left ear failed suddenly. Before proceeding with a replacement, they require that I clean them with compressed air, alcohol, and brushing the rear of the device for two minutes. Received my Eargo hearing aids about 3 weeks ago. At first I wasn’t sure that they were right for me but in about 10 days I was used to them. It was a big change for me I have had hearing problems for over 20 years. I tried the cheap ones but could not take the sound they produced it was a horrible experience and a waste of money. Now that I have Eargo 6 everything has changed. I can hear my wife and not say huh every time she says something to me. I can hear my grandkids and I can even hear the tv. Great product and great customer service , timely response to my questions
I have owned Eargos before but took an opportunity to buy a newer improved model, at a great finance rate. I like my current pair even more than before
I placed my order and had hoped the hearing aids would be as good as described. So far, they are better than I expected. Hearing things I had not heard in years. I never realized how limited my hearing was.
Easy to use. Not only do they enhance my hearing, but also mask my tinnitus. Such a difference. Having a personal advocate on hand at EARGO is a great plus. Provides comfort in knowing someone is available to help me succeed. I've missed out on so much, I'm ready to hear everything.
The technology of EARGO is awesome. The support of the audiologist after 1 week of use was very helpful and provided us with more knowledge on how the hearing aid works. The maintenance is however too much to ask for seniors to do unless they have a care taker.
Trying to customize settings. Takes time to tweak beyond default. Try to hear louder and cleaner to hear wife. Wife Speaks softly and low due to Parkinsons. Sometimes she v n whispers, and drives m nuts as can not hear the whisper. Yup,true and real stuff here. I need the help here. - Ken
Professional and caring staff. Very understanding organization. It's enough to feel the frustration of hearing loss, they understand what you are going through. Knowledgeable about their products and helping the consumer choose the right one for them.
