Eargo hearing aids help wearers process and understand speech more clearly, amplifying mid and high auditory frequencies. The company's products were designed by an ENT surgeon with more than thirty years' experience in the field with thousands of patients. Products were subsequently tested by audiologists and hearing professionals before being put into production. Since wearers generally need time to readjust to the hearing audio frequencies they may have missed for years--similar to how eyes adjust to glasses or contacts--Eargo has built a team of licensed personal hearing professionals to help each client through this process.

Eargo devices are extremely discreet. They're so invisible, you truly have to look very closely to see the tiny black end of their hearing aids. Eargo is also very attentive to comfort. Their patented Flexis, made from medical-grade silicone, help their devices rest comfortably in the ear and allows natural, ambient-lost frequencies to pass through into the eardrum. Every Eargo customer is assigned a licensed hearing professional for assistance after receiving the device. Customers are then able to book an introductory call and subsequent support calls as needed until they feel comfortable using the device. Eargo offers two types of warranties that come standard with its products. There is a 12 or 24-month manufacturer warranty that covers manufacturing defects. This will be void if the wearer modifies or damages the unit(s). Eargo also includes an uncommon loss & damage warranty which will cover devices that are lost or damaged beyond repair. In such cases, the company will send you replacements at a discounted rate.

I got EARGO hearing aids through the FEHBP about the time of the Pandemic. My old OTE devices interfered with wearing a mask--or vice-versa. They kept flying off when putting on or taking off the mask. EARGO got good reviews, and seemed like a good choice. From December 2020 through October 2023, I went through FIVE sets of the device. They would perform well for a few weeks, then the prompts would no longer work. Tapping on the ear to change programs failed also. I had no idea which program I was using. The last two pair I received were defective because of adhesive failure, causing the wax screen to fall out, and there was a gap big enough to see the electronics in the device. The last... Problems: Seating the earpieces in the charger to insure charging. Lots of extraneous sounds (whistling and exaggerated background sounds). Adjusting features to optimize hearing. Couldn’t change pedals despite following instructions.

The performance of the hearing aids is so much better than I expected! The only issue I have is: I have a hard time keeping them in my ear canal, no matter which ear pieces I use. The Large ear pieces with the open petals seem to stay in the best but I have to re-seat them several times a day.

Hello, don’t be misled with Eargo, I am trying to warn people to be careful with Eargo hearing aids. I purchased Eargo hearing aids for almost 3k and when I received them they were not working properly. When I called customer service, they told me to upgrade the hearing aids. Costing me more than $700 from the previous model. The new model they sent me was worse than the previous one. Now, I hardly use them, they are pretty much worthless. A few days ago, one of my hearing aids wasn’t able to charge, I called customer support and they told it will cost $375 for a replacement. Tried contacting the supervisor but never called me back. These are my first hearing aids. It took 2-3 days to get accustomed to having something in my ears, and another week or so before I started going hours at a time without thinking about them. The experience has been remarkable. I no longer ask people to repeat themselves several times a day. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they work with both landline and cellular phones--no feedback or need to use the speakerphone the way I have seen hearing aid users do in the past. The scheduled call from Eargo after my first week was very productive. She gave me useful tips on the use and maintenance of the Eargos, information not found in the videos. After two weeks, I am very happy.
