Eargo hearing aids help wearers process and understand speech more clearly, amplifying mid and high auditory frequencies. The company's products were designed by an ENT surgeon with more than thirty years' experience in the field with thousands of patients. Products were subsequently tested by audiologists and hearing professionals before being put into production. Since wearers generally need time to readjust to the hearing audio frequencies they may have missed for years--similar to how eyes adjust to glasses or contacts--Eargo has built a team of licensed personal hearing professionals to help each client through this process.

Eargo Product Offerings

Hearing Aid Style - 4.5 / 5

Eargo devices are extremely discreet. They're so invisible, you truly have to look very closely to see the tiny black end of their hearing aids. Eargo is also very attentive to comfort. Their patented Flexis, made from medical-grade silicone, help their devices rest comfortably in the ear and allows natural, ambient-lost frequencies to pass through into the eardrum. Eargo's least expensive product, the Max, was named one of Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2018. The device also won the Gold Clio and Red Dot awards for Product Design and was touted as 'a new breed of tech company' by the New York Times.

The company's newest product is the Eargo 6 with Sound Adjust, which automatically optimizes the soundscape as you move between environments. The Eargo 6 is water-resistant for up to 30 minutes at a water depth of less than one meter, and features patented, medical-grade, silicone petal tips that come in two sizes and two styles. The Eargo 6 is competitively priced when compared to traditional hearing aids at $2,950 for a pair of devices. It recharges in just 4 hours, after which it provides 16 hours of continuous use. All of Eargo's products are distinguished by excellent on-demand support from hearing professionals for as long as you use your device.

Eargo kits come with left and right devices, two sizes of Flexis (regular and large), charger units, cleaning tools, and more. Every purchase comes with free lifetime support.

This will be void if the wearer modifies or damages the unit(s). Eargo also includes an uncommon loss & damage warranty which will cover devices that are lost or damaged beyond repair. In such cases, the company will send you replacements at a discounted rate.

This is your typical Sales but no Service Company. Long holds on Service lines that nobody ever answers. Recordings keep repeating to call back, unusual busy time, blah blah, leave your number we will call you back, blah, blah, go to our internet site, blah blahblah. DIAL THE SALES NUMBER INSTEAD-Guess what? Your call goes right through because they want to sell you something BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO SERVICE IT! This stuff is cheaply made in China and things as simple as the power cord just "fall apart" after normal use. Service department suggested that I go buy a generic power cord at AMAZON! This is my second set of EARGO'S. Don't be a sucker like me. Go to a reputable company.

Hello Mr. W. I just reviewed your lengthy history with us and we absolutely want to help. Our devices are class 1 FDA medical devices and built to last. I just spoke with our client care manager and she mentioned someone is already taking care of your case. While I understand your experience today was frustrating, there are times when we can be unusually busy and do respond as quickly as possible. I promise you'll be taken care of to your satisfaction.

EARGO PRODUCT FAILURES*** I have owned Eargo Neo for about 14 months. I am amazed at the number of positive reviews. My Eargo units have had ongoing failures, both left and right. In 14 months they have been returned, replaced, exchanged 4-5 times each. I seem to get approximately 3 -4 months before a unit dies. I have requested feedback concerning why, what cause of failure is, I have received no feedback. The customer service team at Eargo are very young, and are very helpful when selling product, they unfortunately become very disrespectful when attempting to deal with these problems. As several other reviews note, yes the units are more comfortable than others, yet failures of the... Read More

Dear Bryan. I'm sorry you are experiencing problems with your Eargo Neo hearing aids. I would like to help resolve this issue for you. First, I want to clarify that we do provide out-of-warranty repair service for $295 that includes a 1 year warranty. Secondly, we need to understand why your units keep failing. The vast majority of hearing aid repair issues are the result of ear wax, moisture, or skin debris getting into the hearing aid microphone or speaker. This happens to everyone at some point, but some people are more prone than others. I would encourage you to contact our customer service team at 800-615-9000 and request a "root cause analysis" be done to your devices so we know what is happening and then we can steps to keep it from occurring. We can also be emailed at support@eargo.com. Third, Eargo customers DO NOT need to buy new hearing aids after the warranty period as noted by the repair charge above. When you reach out to us, please be patient. While I don't want this to be viewed as an excuse, our business has absolutely flourished as a result of positive reviews and Covid forcing many hearing centers to close or reduce capacity. We have been hiring and training customer service reps to keep up with demand. Please tell the Eargo team member that you received a reply from Steve Eagon and you'll receive a price reduction on your repair.

I purchased the product a year ago. It worked fine for about 9 months. Then one side just wouldn't work anymore, my guess is it may have been the battery. I called and Eargo requested I change the wax guard and the flexi, plus clean the microphone. I had done that 5 times without correcting the problem. I called back and asked for some help. By then, my warranty had run out and the only help they offered was for me to buy new hearing aids at a discount. No, there is no repair service available. So, if you are prepared to buy a new pair every 12 to 16 months, then go ahead and buy the product. If it stops working, you are on your own.

Hi Andre. I was able to review your file to have a better understanding of the Eargo Max device you purchased back in 2018. The Max had a one year warranty at the time of your purchase. Eargo has a repair policy where we will repair/replace your device for $295 and and also provide a 1 year warranty. You DO NOT have to buy new Eargo hearing aids when the warranty expires. We have always had repair service for our hearing aids and you are not on your own if you experience problems. Please call us at 800-615-9000 or email us at support@eargo.com and we will gladly help you. By the way, you are correct that we offer discounts to existing Eargo customers on new models as they become available. We want our customers to stay in the Eargo family and experience technology upgrades.

I have ordered the original EARGO's and each new version they have brought out, except the HIFI, which I am considering. I can make three basic comments. First, they are the most comfortable hearing aids imaginable. I have to constantly put a finger to my ear to see if they are in! Second, the hearing correction is as good as it gets for me (moderate high frequency loss), and feedback issues are minimal. I wear them all day on setting 1 which is adequate for me in most situations, including TV and talking to my wife (soft voice!), when my granddaughters come I sometimes try setting 2 or 3 which improves hearing a bit more. But now the less good news: 3) I have had to return a number of... Read More

I purchased an Eargro Max 13 months ago. It seemed to resolve my hearing loss so I was relatively satisfied until the right ear since yesterday remains locked on program three. I changed the wax guards and flexies for both ears but it didn't resolve the issue. In fact, the left ear now seems faulty. Support answered on the first ring (a plus) but can only help me by charging me another $395 (30 days out of warranty). I expected better quality from a device costing over $2,400.

I've been wearing Eargo since 2/18 and have enjoyed them so much. After 11 1/2 months one was losing its charge after only 11 hrs and they sent me a replacement set at no cost and with that set came the packaging to send the used ones back. My sister who I went to visit in a Nursing Home and was legally deaf in one ear and had hearing loss in the other couldn't hear any of us unless we shouted. We had trouble communicating with her. I took my right aide and after putting it in her ear I whispered "can you hear me ?" Which she replied yeah. No more yelling at her during our visit. She was terminally ill and passed away the following month. We as a family would've gotten her the Eargo set... Read More

I purchased a hearing aid from an Eargo sales rep. She deliberately never disclosed that there was a $99 handling fee if the item has to be returned. I called Eargo to discuss my hearing aid options. I sent a copy of my audiological test that was to be looked at by their audiologist. I was told that I would definitely benefit from the most expensive hearing aid Eargo has. I proceeded to purchase the item through a sales rep named Susan Drew and was told that if they didn't work out that I would receive a full refund. I received the item on a Sunday and realized that they are not a great fit for my ears. I tried the customizable fiber plugs that they have and the aid just didn't fit.... Read More

I have worn hearing aids for 6 years and it is time for me to purchase a new pair. When I saw the information about Eargo and the reviews I thought it would be the perfect solution for me. Of course how could I lose with a money back guarantee? Well I tried the Eargo Neo which was supposed to be the best option available. The background noise was increase to the point I couldn't hear when in a crowded area. I contacted Eargo and they updated my settings which didn't help. Getting back to my statement, I couldn't lose... Well, after paying for my Eargos I received a notice if I returned them there would be a $99 charge. This was well after I made my purchase. I contacted Eargo and... Read More
