EasyCare is a sound choice for automobile service plans. The company offers a broad array of service contract options, ranging from bare-bones plans that cover little more than the engine and drivetrain all the way up to plans that cover almost everything. The company began as a warranty management service to automobile manufacturers and has substantial experience in the field. It summarizes its contracts in both inclusive and exclusionary terms. It has a solid reputation with the BBB and has partnered with other reputable companies.

The list of covered systems and parts provided on the company's website is remarkably detailed. EasyCare's lower three plans are stated in inclusionary terms, i.e., lists of what is covered. Its top-tier plan, however, is stated in both inclusionary and exclusionary terms. That top-tier plan appears to be very thorough and to exclude only cosmetic items and a few specialty components.

Claims & Repairs

Claims & Repairs - 3.5 / 5

The company provides few details of its claim procedures. It states that repairs must be done at a "licensed" repair facility, an ambiguous requirement that consumers may wish to clarify before purchasing a service plan. It is also unclear from the company's publications whether customers have any obligation to maintain a vehicle maintenance log or other documentation.

I have a 6 year old f150. Blew a transmission cooler line. The threaded connection was rusted, so Easy Care refuses to pay for it. Garage kept, always washed. No way to prevent some corrosion. These guys are bums. Only second repair with 105k on it and it was denied. Complete waste of money. Paid $3976.00 for it and all they covered was a $50 TCIPT sensor three years ago. If they can deny any repair due to corrosion, they shouldn't be offering 6 years and 120k warranties.

STAY AWAY from EasyCare! Can't repeat this enough. Had a claim, they never sent an inspector - denied the claim based on a photo where they 'diagnosed' hardened engine sludge. This is in direct conflict with the statement of the mechanic who actually worked on the car. Paid for the repair myself and am taking them to small claims. Go to another dealer if they try to sell you an Easycare warranty.

Excellent service, we wouldn't go without this coverage! We have had a couple of costly repairs and this has paid for itself.

Save your money!! They are very unprofessional to deal with on the customer side as well as the dealership service side. They won't approve a claim without an "inspection", in which they look for anyway to deny your claim. When I made my claim the technician said he couldn't confirm what caused the failure without beginning the repair. They denied my claim without a diagnosis. Even after I authorized the repair, with photos and a statement from the technician saying the reason they denied my claim was not the reason of the failure, they still wouldn't reopen my claim! SCAM, SCAM SCAM!! (IS THERE A MINUS STAR OPTION??)

I travel a lot for work, 50k miles a year. When I bought my 2017 Subaru Legacy from Cochran Subaru in Monroeville, Pa an Easy Care 150k bumper to bumper was offered and I invested in it. About 140k miles in my transmission started acting up. I took it in and they gave me a loaner. In a little over a week, my Subaru got a brand new transmission, saving me $6,500! Needless to say, I'm a huge believer in extended warranties and Easy Care and will get it again on my next Subaru that I buy next year. Thank you Easy Care and Cochran Subaru service!!

Do not waste your money here, they will do absolutely everything to not pay your claim. You will need to produce a very detailed accounting with receipts for all maintenance and any missed mark or late service will render the warrenty null and void. Do not bother.

Do not waste your Money on EasyCare. They are a scam. Scam Scam Scam. They did not pay for any of my repairs. I got the unlimited Bumper to Bumper plan seller stated that they would pay for all repairs from bumper to bumper. I had two major breakdowns and they said that it was wear and tear. my repairs were not on the list of things that were wear and tear. Save your money this type of insurance is a scam scam scam scam scam scam

I have dealt with Easy Care since 1994 (10 years after inception) as a car dealer finance director, I will NOT buy a vehicle without this coverage, neither will my friends and family. Yes, they do not cover hoses, things breaking down (not yet failed), maint. items, but they are BY FAR the BEST coverage on the market!!! They pay full retail to certified repair shop, they pay by credit card so the payment in instant, the complaints that I read about the roadside assistance, that is not Easy Care that is a company that sublets the RSA. Make sure and ask for the Total Care contract, others are less coverage and do not cover as comprehensively. If you never have a claim and feel you... Read More

My center counsel/arm rest lid was completely detached when you opened it and the fog light at the bottom of my car was no longer sitting flush with the bumper it was recessed a few inches. I called them the Friday to explain my issues to make sure they were covered and the representative assured me those items were covered. She was concerned with the fog light and asked if I was in an accident. I said No. I thought that one of the latches/clips that held it down might have broken, so I took the car into the dealer today for to get those items repaired. The dealer called and informed me that EasyCare wasn't covering the repairs. So I called and requested why. The representative... Read More
