ASPCA Coverage

Coverage - 4 / 5

ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Plans can cover accidents, dental disease, behavioral issues, illnesses, and hereditary conditions (not pre-existing).

Each coverage includes diagnostics, treatment, and exam fees related to covered conditions.

Plans also cover non-traditional treatments like acupuncture and stem cell therapy.

In addition to its Complete Coverage plan, ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has an Accident-Only plan as well as preventive care add-ons at an additional cost.

Like all pet insurance, ASPCA Pet Health Insurance plans do not cover pre-existing conditions that occur or show symptoms before the policy effective date or during any applicable waiting period.

However, if the pet is free from symptoms, treatment, and cured for 180 days, the condition will no longer count as pre-existing, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. If a knee and ligament condition occurs before the coverage effective date or during a waiting period, any future ones won’t be covered.

I paid my deductible in March 2015 and was charged again in November 2015. I was told the one in March was for an exciting problem. In November it was for something new so I had to pay the deductible again. I went with ASPCS because of them helping other animals but there are better insurance for animals They are at down on the bottom of the top 10 pet insurance. So I recommend you look before going with ASPCS

I did not like their customer service. And they only pay what they think you should be charged. I have another pet covered with Healthy Paws and they are so much better. My pet covered with ASPCA was too old to move to another insurance or I would have. I just had to say goodbye to my pet, and because the deductible changed, I get nothing reimbursed. Save your money and go to Healthy Paws

It takes months to get claims settled and they go out of their way to deny coverage based on “preexisting” conditions... like an ear infection because my dog has one years before... they comb through old medical records to find any reason to deny. Horrible customer service. Practically a scam to Collect monthly payments.

OMG ASPCA Dog Insurance is nothing but a HUGE RIP OFF, in our opinion. Our Coco had to have disc surgery 12-24-2019 after seeing 2 other Vet's all said & done our bill was 10,729.35 $, we paid it and I started paperwork to file claim, we have had a policy for both Coco and Cotton for 5 yrs now. We knew we were capped at 3,00.00 but that would have helped, but instead today I see our claim and they are paying 0, yes you see it correctly 0 a big goose egg. What in the heck have we been paying every month for, 12 moths for 5 years x's 2???? We would recommend using ANYONE but the ASPCA INSURANCE .....I hope ASPCA see's this! Tag EVERYONE

I could not be happier with this health insurance. I have my 2 dogs under their insurance and every time I have needed to use it their reimbursement has been flawless. Thank you so much!

I have a seriously ill cat now and they do not want to pay the vet Bill's, because they misinterpret a medical record, even though the vet said clearly it is not a pre-existing condition. My other cat is insured over them also, until today, as I cancelled her insurance. The customer service reps are really friendly, but can't really help you with an issue when the company sucks by itself. The processing of claims takes forever. Don't go with them. You can waste your money otherwise!!!! 💔

Do not get this insurance!!! They told me my dog has preexisting conditions from being anemic, please tell me how a blood clot is from being anemic. And ok she has a heart murmur that hasn't changed, now tell me how it's preexisting when she starts having deadly arrithmia's while at Texas a&m? This is the biggest fraud of a company that will not help you pay for anything. I have spent over 12k this year (2019 to save my girls life) and they have yet to help. They just continue to rob me of the money I could use to continue my dogs treatment. Yes this policy was cancelled today and I recommend everyone stay away from them!

There is special place in hell for this people. I have pure breed cat, I brough her from oversees. I bought ASPCA insurance in January, hoping i would never need it. So my cat got ill and her medical bills were submitted to insurance. And guess what they were all denied, because she saw a doctor past year for her paw infection, and I could not find paperwork for it. Well, first of all that happend way before I bought the policy, condition was unrelated to her current illness. Here what I want to tell you: I hope one day you will have to answer for all this damage you caused to people and their pets. I understand, we all love money, but making money on other people's pain is the most... Read More

I bought this coverage for my dog when he was a puppy and have regretted it since, but because new coverage costs more as the dog gets older, I am stuck with this. My intention was to have coverage when I really needed it for an older dog, but instead at 9 years into the policy (and the dog) I am getting greatly diminished returns for premiums that the company is now increasing. Everything about this coverage is wrong / bad. IF they pay a claim, they cover not actual cost but “reasonable and customary”, which seems to be what would be reasonable and customary in maybe a third world country, since this usually ends up half of the actual cost. That is such an elusive, slippery term that... Read More

I wish I had not wasted my money. They failed to pay a claim, claiming it was a pre existing condition. My dog injured himself. I do not have time to fight with the company. I suggest buy your insurance elsewhere.
