Summary

When it comes to any type of insurance coverage, a no limit benefit policy is our best protection against accidents and illness. Petsecure offers this option with its Secure 4 plan but this also comes at price. While this option is not recommended for those on a budget or with younger pets, pet owners with older pets should seriously consider this offer. Petsecure scores big with its coverage features and its preventive care services ensure that your pets are kept in tip top shape. Overall, Petsecure is definitely one of the better options for pet owners searching for pet insurance services.

I am TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED in Petsecure and Western Financial Insurance and the way their "customer care" agent Rodney, handled my call. After waiting a month to receive information regarding my claim, only to receive an email notification *We regret we are unable to cover treatment for this condition as it is not covered by your policy...... I took out this policy only after asking NUMEROUS times if the gastropexy would be considered preventative medicine and if it would be covered at the time of spaying. The agent at the time I decided to take this policy out for my dog, assured me that if I signed on for the 4+ plan that it would indeed be covered. I have submitted five claims to... Read More

As others have clearly stated, this company is a scam. They collect monthly but when it comes to actually covering your pet stating that you have missed something. Actually telling you blatant lies! That are easy to prove wrong but they are sticking to their original assessment and won't pay out. Here is what happened to us: We moved to Canada from France, where we got a health certificate from the vet as well as 2 vaccinations, so the cat could travel. On arrival in Canada, we got pet insurance 3 months later. We were asked to provide the cat's medical records, so we emailed the company the health certificate & pet passport. At this point we thought the insurance would be fine and we... Read More

The only complaint I have so far is the length of time it takes to be paid! We are level 4, it is worth it as it's for preventative such as teeth cleaning, makes the deductible nothing as it's a service we would get anyways!

Petsecure has been amazing to deal with , its been almost 2 years and not once have we had an issue - claims are processed quickly and painless-I have a gentle giant that doesn't know his own strength that has needed a few stitches as well as a pretty serious CCL surgery and pet secure has not let me or my fur baby down! thank you! I have only had to call in once about a couple questions and it was the best customer service, so I am one very happy customer!

Depends who you talk to when you call petsecure- One supervisor told me one thing and when it came to a death claim all of a sudden there is a deductible that the other supervisor told me was not there. Horrible service and errors. I would never get pet insurance with them again

I had to file a claim for a surgery my dog needed. It took almost 2 months for them to pay! Then they raised my monthly premium suspiciously right after that but claimed it was just a regular rate increase, but yet if I did a quote request under a different pet name for the same policy, it was cheaper. I have the Secure 4 plan and when I submitted my claim for the monthly flea medication from my vet (which is supposed to be covered under my plan), they deny the claim and tell me it isn't covered. Now I have to try and get that taken care of too. My dog has also had an ear and eye infection when she was a puppy (prior to my coverage starting) and they actually put on her policy... Read More

Pet secure is reasonable and fair & seems superior to the rest. Your TOTAL YEARLY DEDUCTIBLE is $100 for 'secure 3' or $250 for 'secure 4'. I went with secure 4 because my yearly preventative care is $613.07 (Breakdown- exam $78.90, vaccines $41.10, bordetella $33.10, blood test $67.70, flea & Tick 170.10, heart worm 110.04, fecal $41.60 = $542.54 (Total) + $70.53 (tax) = $613.07). With secure 4, you also get $600 in dental preventative care. Secure 4 (with tax) $123.78 x 12 = $1,485.36 ($1,735.36 with $250 yearly deductible) or Secure 3 $85.62 x 12 = $1,027.44 ($1,127.44 with $100 yearly deductible). I end up spending $1,213.07 on preventative each year. After the $1,735.36, I'm left with... Read More

Petsecure do not use. Took me 3weeks to cancel. I was not listed as the owner but the money was coming out of my account. Even though I was paying for it had no rights. The company is like a piece of what you pick up at the park
