Summary

When it comes to any type of insurance coverage, a no limit benefit policy is our best protection against accidents and illness. Petsecure offers this option with its Secure 4 plan but this also comes at price. While this option is not recommended for those on a budget or with younger pets, pet owners with older pets should seriously consider this offer. Petsecure scores big with its coverage features and its preventive care services ensure that your pets are kept in tip top shape. Overall, Petsecure is definitely one of the better options for pet owners searching for pet insurance services.

Petsecure is by far the best insurer for my pets. I have absolutely zero complaints about the company. They explain everything very clearly and concisely. Coverage is great, prices are better. I highly recommend them, and would sign with them again in a heartbeat should the need ever arise. Way better than the competition as far as I am concerned. Thank you Petsecure!

My 11 1/2 year old dog has just been euthanized due to illness. I have had Petsecure since he was a small puppy. PLEASE NOTE: If I get another pet, I will definitely NOT use Petsecure. Waiting times are ridiculous and they seem to find any reason not to cover the illness.

Petsecure has changed ownership. Our experience before and after could not be more different. The policy now seems to be deny, review on appeal and reconsider, then probably deny again. Even the tone on the phone has changed. I strongly recommend trying elsewhere or even better save the $70 a month in a pet fund and come out on top.

These people do not understand the concept of insurance. Every time we make a claim, they double the deductible to recoup the cost of the claim. At 5 years old, they increased the premiums for our dog based on the dog's age. There are legal consequences of accusing a company of being a scam so I won't do so here. You are better off putting your money in a pet medical savings account than going with this company.

I had Petsecure Insurance level 3 for my dog and they were great. They covered everything that was included in the policy up until my pup got cancer. Pet Secure covered all his bills with no questions asked. When I calculated how much I paid to them in insurance over the years they actually reimbursed me more money than I had paid in insurance premiums. Can't see what some of the reviewers below are saying about their experience. What people need to understand is insurance covers unknown accidents and illnesses. If you don't have the proper paperwork to support your claim or your dog has any signs of pre-existing then it's a tough break. My pup contracted giardia at 6 months but I didn't... Read More

We have got petsecure for a six weeks trial after adopting our lovely boy, the trial came with the adoption package. We were considering to carry on with the insurance with Petsecure as we believe they should be a great insurance company which will offer the six weeks trial for pets adoption. However, it's not really the case. We have took our cat to the Vet for a body check up due to we want to make sure he's healthy since he has been traveled from Quebec (that's where the animal hospital got him) to Toronto Cats Rescue, went through neuter surgery and with a bunch of medical reports in French that we cannot understand. Our Vet performed a regular body check up for him, plus xrays... Read More

I am surprised at these reviews very concerning! I have been with petsecure for more then 10 years. Every time we needed them they were instantly there right to the end of our Meesha journey! No questions immediately covered what was needed! We now have a new pup to insure these comments have me now worried on which company to choose Ugh!

We decided to cover both our cat and dog by Petsecure. We pay almost $70 per month for our dog, and I have come to realize that this is really not insurance coverage, but should be considered as simply pre-paying your pet's medical expenses. Over the course of your coverage, the company takes steps to ensure they do not pay more in claims than what they have received in premiums. In our case, our dog has had a couple of unexpected health issues that have been relatively expensive (of course that is the very reason why we purchased pet insurance). As a result, Petsecure has twice reduced our co-insurance, from 80% to 60%, and now to 50%. They do not clearly explain they will do such... Read More

Would not recommend. We have paid the highest premiums for the best coverage for our pet. We are supposed to be covered up to $5000.00 per condition, per year. But if you actually put in claims they reduce their co-pay, even if you have not even claimed a fraction of the amount you are entitled for. We have gone from our contracted 80% coverage down to 50% coverage. Both our premiums and our deductible increased.

Horrible, horrible company. I have a one year old French Bulldog puppy. When my dog was about 4 months she was bit by a tick on her face. I went to my vet and she examined the bite and prescribed me revolution so I can protect my dog from getting future ticks. The bite over next few days got even worse. So I came back to the vet again and she said don't worry it usually gets worse before it gets better. A week passed by and the bit was not getting any better. I visited my vet again and now the vet told me that I needed to do emergency day surgery on my puppy. After the procedure the vet charged me almost $800, and they recommended me to purchase puppy insurance. I thought that was a good... Read More
