Moving Nation is the worst moving company ever. They moved us from VA to Durham. They arrived a week late and many of our most precious items were broken. They broke an art deco piece of ours in the VA house and just walked away. My husband suffered an injury as they were unloading things from truck. One surgery later...
They have been completely unresponsive after we filed a well-documented claim re: broken and lost items (yes, lost). Do not even consider this company. And, if anyone from the company is reading this, please respond to our repeated inquiries.
We knew we had made the right choice in hiring Moving Nation for our move to North Carolina as soon as they arrived ahead of time on the day. The neat and clean uniforms, the polite way of speaking and also the good condition of the vehicle and the moving equipment just confirmed that we were dealing with professionals. The guys worked hard and did their best to stick to the schedule we had been given so a few minutes lost here and there was no big deal. Overall, we are very satisfied with how well they moved a 3-bedroom apartment.
When the Moving Company arrived LATE and started packing, they did NOT pack everything even though I jokingly asked, if I should go through the house to make sure everything had been packed. The response was "NO you don't have to check, we got everything"!! I also asked if the furniture would arrive that day or the next day. He explained that they ONLY packed and didn't deliver the furniture. Approximately 5 min after they left the house, I walked through the house and to my amazement, I saw a number of items that were still in the house. The most honest company and movers ever!! I have no words to describe how happy I was when the wallet I lost was returned to me by the moving team when they arrived in Texas. I had assumed that I had lost it somewhere else or maybe left it in my old house but no luck. Finally, it appeared when they were unloading and all the cash and cards were there, nothing even out of place. 100% recommended for the fantastic honesty and integrity but also the excellent service and great pricing. What a team! So impressed!
STAY AWAY!!! Do not even look under the ad for Moving Nation. They are horrible!!!! The 5 star rating is a joke! Eric nice on the phone, said everything you wanted to hear! Several broken items, 16 days to receive belongings after was told 2-3 days. NEVER returned phone calls. Our original quote was around $5000 with transport of a motorcycle, ended up over $7000 and no bike!!!! I give this company a zero rating; had to mark the one star because wouldn't let me submit without marking one. I have never dealt with such an incompetent, uncaring company! HORRIBLE!!!

Worst moving experience of my life. Immediately upon showing up my "binding quote" was upped by $3,000. Movers didn't follow instructions regarding packing of original art work and that resulted in damages to an original painting. Boxes were crushed and split open (light boxes stacked under heavy boxes). Furniture was damaged. There was not care in loading my possessions and no professionalism. Every time I talked with a representative I got a different answer. At times they were just down right rude. Save yourself the anxiety and frustration and run from these people. This is an honest review from a person who has used more than 5 moving companies over the past several years. Moving Nation is by far the worst moving company I dealt with and has a horrible customer service experience. Lisa - the so called supervisor - couldn't be more rude for her role.
Our move was scheduled on a Sunday, driver did not show up on agreed arrival time and we had NO way to contact the company as the office is closed on Sundays! No rep, no nothing. The only contact info we had was Lisa's cell number but she also never answered our repeated calls. Such a professionalism!
A very nice experience with a good, reliable moving company. We are very pleased with the conduct of the workers, the accuracy of the quote and with the speed with which they worked. It was a more positive experience than we had assumed and very orderly.
This company (moving nation) is not true to their word. I was promised all sorts of all star service for my move and things seemed ok until moving day. I packed my own belongings and so the responsibility of the movers was just to load what I had packed and wrap and load furniture. To begin with, I was given an arrival window for the movers from 11-2 pm on July 8th with a call an hour before the movers were on the way. At 1 pm I had received no calls or notifications as to when the movers would arrive so I called customer service. They placed me on hold and then told me the movers would be calling me shortly. What a pleasant surprise that moving companies can deliver as promised and not charge hundreds in hidden fees after they have completed the move. We had a very good experience with Moving Nation and will definitely say that they are a very honest and reliable company.
