We have had issues with Trugreen for 2years. Always— we will fix it. Again, We would complain, they would come out and nothing improved. We asked them to follow up with their progress and they never did. We had expensive plush green grass that is now dying.
I would not recommend them.
So my last service was on April 22, 2020. Three times TruGreen scheduled my lawn treatment (May 22, June 5, June 10) and THREE times towards end of day even though the app shows in same neighborhood and indicated my lawn was next, they did not show up. When I called customer service, they said it indicated I had cancelled service??!!
After the second incident, I called and requested am service as every time I seem to be scheduled last (1-6pm).
While I am happy with the results of my lawn, I will be switching to another lawn care.

Terrible company. Service man went to neighbors house next door and did my service on his yard. I called customer service and it is terrible. I called. On day and they said they would have someone out, I called today and I was t on the schedule. Unreal. They were going to just charge me for the service that they did not do on my lawn. I asked for a mgr to call me back, let’s see what happens
Customers be aware!! they will promise you the world for you to sign up with them, but their service is worst than HORRIBLE!!! if you are thinking of hiring them to take care of your lawn, you will be better off doing the work yourself. I have had them for a year and they did nothing!!. I regret switching to them!! Customers also be aware they will charge you for things that you do not authorize. I would give them a -1 star if it was available!!
I don't know where to begin. My experience has been a nightmare from day one and it borders on fraud. After using them the previous year, I cancelled my service because my lawn looked worse at the end of the season than before they started. In April I got a call from a salesman asked me to return as a customer. I explained to him what I needed. In addition to regular treatments, I needed to fill on bare spots so I wanted to include aeration and over seeding as my first service. He assumed that that would be fine and we settled on a price. Trugreen Killed My Lawn and they want me to pay even after I had cancelled because the person I cancelled when I called was from another department so they kept charging me for services. I called cause my lawn is way worse than it was before they started their service. They aerated the lawn, came once a month and killed my lawn. The lawn is worse than it was before I hired Trugreen and I'm going to have to re-sod which is going to cost me thousands. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN they should be called TRUYELLOW.
We moved into a property where the previous owner used trugreen. They continued to try and service our lawn after we explicitly told them not to and kept trying to bill us. For MONTHS I would go running out telling them to stop or they would come when we weren’t home and I’d have to call to get them to void them bill (which thankfully they did) once that stopped we have been getting calls weekly, if not daily. We have called both the local and corporate numbers and told them multiple times to stop calling. We have reported them. But the calls just keep coming. I don’t care what service they provide the constant harassment isn’t worth saving a few bucks on lawncare
The sales dept promised the world but when it came to a complaint, they ignore you. They hound you for extra services at additional cost, then they skimp on the added product. I gave them one years worth of a contract and was disappointed. When I complained about crabgrass, they said that it would die off soon enough. It did but not until it dropped seeds everywhere. Also never the same person doing the applications. They skipped one third of my lawn because they couldn't get too close to the lake. They charged me for that sq. footage then neglected that third. They talk a good game, but fail to fulfill the contract. They killed my neighbor's trees spraying them.
Seeing no results for the cost Trugreen is charging me. I should have beautiful grass, weed free but not the case here. Extremely disappointed.
I have been a TruGreen customer for 10 years and paid my bills on time. At the end of 2019, TruGreen apparently had a problem with their online billing process and failed to notify electronically of existing bill. Weeks later customer service reps began calling existing customers notifying them that their bill was past due and would you like to pay now. I told them I hadn't seen a bill, either electronic or print and wouldn't pay until bill arrived. They said a print bill transition was coming.
