Awful company with extremely poor customer service response. Don’t waste your time and money!
They do not do a good job of re-seeding. When I called to re-schedule, I got two different dates and they didn't show up either time. Their phone service just plain doesn't work. You are asked to put in your street number and no one answers. It just goes back to the directory. Their phone responders are inappropriate such as "I love you for a child of God" from one. What!!!! Do not use.
I don't like the way they automatically renew your plan from year to year without checking with its customers. I got an unwanted treatment at the beginning of the year. I tried to complain, but was told I would have to make the extra payment because I didn't cancel from LAST YEAR !! Signed an Ex Customer
TruGreen has got to be the worst company on the planet. TruGreen WINS 1st PLACE at having the worst service AND the worst customer service of any company, in any industry. I don't have the time or space to write the horrible novel experience I have had with TruGreen. In a nut shell, they destroyed my lawn ( I would have been far better off doing nothing at all), and overcharged me for horrible and costly damage to my lawn, and countless hours trying to deal with them.

I spent hours trying to get some answer. I was talked into buying lawn package. When they scheduled the visit we were given a window of 7-3. Also they were confused as to why we needed to find out what is wrong with our lawn before treatment. They said that if we could be there we could leave our yard open. They would leave us an evaluation on our door and do the treat. Shouldn't we be there. Very poor way of doing business.
I hope there technicians are better than their customer support and the automated call system.... it took 2 hours and 4 people for them to find my account which I never received a confirmation on... but they sure charged my cc for a full year service... next time I use a local company
Clearly a bad choice for your lawn
These guys just dump fertilizers and weed killers blindly on each visit. Technicians I have had on my property do not know the difference between a summer grass vs. cool season grass. I just had them fertilize my bermuda grass in December and leave me a note that my grass is "browning" due to dry conditions. Completely clueless. Cancelling service.
I have trugreen for so many years. So many times they burned some places of my lawn. I have so many times Told them I do not want liquid fertilizer they still did it sine then I spoke to a manager told my complaint. She still schedule a maintenance . What I want someone to come I see it and then find a solution. For 2 days I have been leaving messages still waiting for that phone call
The service never showed up. I was waiting for them for 2 hours (the ever changing window of service) and then suddenly got a message "TruGreen has completed your TruMaintenance Lawn Service" plus a pdf file with "service summary" stating "Today, I applied fertilizer to thicken up your lawn and improve its health and color". But nobody ever has shown up! - I was sitting on my porch all the time, waiting for them. I tried to call the customer service right away and was put on hold for 30 min, then I hanged up because had to do other things. This is utterly unprofessional and displays no respect to the client (paying money!).
This is my first year with TruGreen services which has been horrible! I signed up with the Virginia Beach location for my service. When I scheduled for my first service, my patio was being installed. I called and canceled. Two days later I found a sign in my front yard that my lawn had been treated. I've been trying to reach my representative for two weeks and his voicemail is full and he hasn't answered any of my emails or text messages. I paid for the year upfront. If I hadn't I would cancel immediately!
