How did Consumer Advocate give this 4.5 out of 5 stars? I guess they got paid by Transunion. Transunion's website and services must have been designed by the low bid vendor- it is horrible. But at least the site and service don't involve anything important like credit history or identity protection - whoops, that is exactly what they supposedly offer! The differentiation between the Security Freeze and the True Identity (for a "credit lock") page is poor and confusing for the customer trying to protect his or her credit and / or identity. https://membership.trueidentity.com/tucm/login.page? - True Identity (credit lock) login - after logging in, the page freezes and no information... Customer service sucks! Unable to log in, just asking me to log in again, when asked about what time to log in, asked me to log in at a time when I was not able to log in. Support can't really provide a resolution. Customer support is saying my profile is fine without even asking about my identity. And even asked me if I want to de-activate my account. If there is 0 star I would put 0.

After answering all the questions I was asked on the website, I got note that I have not submitted enough information to match my record! They give you option of _faxing_ information proving your identity...What a doosie!

Deplorable!!! We have wasted so many hours of productivity dealing with the incompetence of this highly bureaucratic organization. Their reports are riddle with errors that they seem incapable of correcting them. Their website is bad enough to give you an ulcer but their deplorable phone service takes the cake.

Great review. However, the the True Identity plan reviewed is the paid plan that costs $9.95 per month. There is a free True Identity plan. But the free plan offers less benefits.

I periodically get "alerts" from My True Identity. The emails state that a change has posted to my credit report. These usually come in groups of 2 or 3 over a day or so, leading me to think that something serious has happened. The email says that this could be due to new inquiries, new accounts, address changes or ... "potentially negative information," and since I haven't applied for any new accounts or had any address changes lately, I naturally want to know what's going on. So I try to lo on to my account. Now, I keep meticulous records of my online account usernames and passwords, but every time I try to log on to my True Identity account, my username and password from the last time... Read More

Absolutely the very worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Waiting for assistance online for over an hour so far. This speaks volumes on how little this organization thinks of their customers. Try hiring more people you so people can get an answer! Pathetic!

It is IMPOSIBLE to get though to this comany when the signup fails online whicih it did without any reason. Be prepared to sit online for over an hour. There is no way to get though to this company othewise. I signed up with Equifax to ensure I had coverage after a security breach. So, I am paying for coverage with a company that actualy has customer service while I try to get my covered service due to a security breach. Avoid this company at all costs.
