Bad company for refunding unused premiums, also will lock you out of your account so that you cannot use there services. Other wise good for discount dental procedures. I suggest that you go to Delta Dental or BlueCrossBlueShield instead.

I been making monthly payments for almost 2 years and never used my insurance at all until 2 months ago I inquired about several procedures that I needed done and was given an estimate after what physician mutual covers. Finds out it would only cover $1200 out of $5200. This just didn't sound right. Paid in so much and get so little in return.

Our dentist is listed as being in network, however, in speaking with our dentist office they say they accept this insurance but have a lot of issues with them. They are also adamant that they are NOT in the network even though this website shows them as such. Another scam.

I had them for four years and still had a dental bill of $800.00 plus dollars. i didn't have any major surgery root canals or anything that expensive. Did have a couple of extractions and some fillings as well as the annual cleaning/ x-rays. Now physicians mutual did cover some things but at a very low cost up front waiting period and all i guess but after four years the low costs should have gone up to the max and I shouldn't have had such an extreme bill. I got this plan because i'm disabled on Medicare and it seemed like a great way to have dental coverage guess i should have read the fine print closer or something i take the blame for that. In any case i cancelled immediately... Read More

I signed up with Physicians Mutual Dental Insurance righ t after the first of this year. Since then this co. has sent me a letter canceling my plan, then anotherb letter wanting me me to enroll with them. Mean while they have deducted a monthly payment from my bank account. Does this co. actually know what it is doing?

Easy to understand coverage and limits. It's affordable and great! This coverage has made it possible for me to get much needed dentures.

It is so bad that my dentist agreed to let me pay as if I had no coverage. Their co-pay was higher than her charge. Trying to cancel takes an act of congress. Do not give them your banking information or your business!

Nowhere in the explaining literature does PM mention dental implants. It appears that the coverage of missing teeth is excluded and treatment plans for newly extracted teeth eliminate dental implants as an option. In fact, the dental implant is the BEST option in most cases, cost notwithstanding. The topic should at least be included in the discussion so consumers will make a truly informed decision
