Our Overall Rating: 4.1 / 5 (Excellent)

WalletHub is one of the better free credit reporting applications. The main differentiator here is the daily credit score and credit report. As far as we know, no other free credit reporting service does this. The company also does a really good job showing you in a clear, personalized, and easy to understand way exactly what factors are contributing to your credit score. However, when compared to applications like Mint which get into the minute transaction details of all your accounts, WalletHub is more general and big picture. Be that as it may, the company has an excellent reputation among users and its real time email, text, and mobile app alerts are particularly handy.

Credit Score & Reports

Report Details and Frequency - 4 / 5

WalletHub is the only online credit reporting service we are aware of that allows you to monitor changes to your score and report on a daily basis for free. Most services, especially free services, will update you monthly or quarterly. This is of particular interest to customers wanting to break down how their activities affect their credit in the most minute detail. WalletHub provides you with your TransUnion report, so if you want to monitor your Experian and Equifax score you'll have to look elsewhere. Additionally, as with so many online credit services, WalletHub uses the VantageScore model, not the official FICO score. Although many lenders are increasingly taking the VantageScore into account, the vast majority still use the official FICO score. This is why patrons of websites like WalletHub and Credit Karma are often surprised to discover the score they got from said website does not match the score used by whichever financial institution they are dealing with to get a loan, buy a car, etc.

Monitoring & Tools

Credit Bureau & Credit Scores - 4.5 / 5

WalletHub is a great, free tool for monitoring your credit report and credit score, and learning about personal finance overall. The company's credit analysis feature is a great way for customers to learn exactly what they need to do to improve their credit score. However, you will not have the ability to see what's happening within individual accounts. WalletHub also does not offer anything in the way of identity theft protection or dispute resolution, but this is common for free services. Finally, WalletHub's alerts are excellent for a free service, as they will notify you immediately of any change to your report via whichever method you select.

WalletHub Plans & Pricing

Plans and Pricing - 4 / 5

WalletHub is a totally free service. You will not need to provide any payment information and the credit inquiries will not affect your score. However, as with similar sites, by signing up you agree that information on your creditworthiness will be passed on to WalletHub's advertisers. You will be offered financial products customized to your credit score and report. If you sign up for one of these products, WalletHub then gets paid.

WalletHub Reputation & Support

Monitoring and Extra Features - 4 / 5

Although WalletHub has an A grade with the BBB, this is only based on one review. The company, however, has a generally favorable reputation across other review sites and a solid Trustpilot score. Since WalletHub is a genuinely free service (they ask for no credit card or for you to purchase anything) you can never be charged monthly or yearly subscription fees without your consent, a common scam with "free credit report" websites. Customers who praise WalletHub cite the free daily score, free online tools, and handy alerts through text, email, and mobile app.

I’m still in shock typing this. On February 16, 2025, my score suddenly crashed more than 190 points overnight from low-800s all the way down to 611 because of a bogus 90-day late on my federal student loans. The loans had been with Great Lakes, got transferred to Nelnet, and were paused during COVID. Somehow Nelnet never updated my address and kept mailing statements to an old place. I never saw them, never knew payments restarted, and boom reported 90 days late. I called Nelnet repeatedly, begged, explained the COVID pause mess and they basically said “not our problem, you should’ve updated your address.” Even my CFPB complaint came back denied. I thought I was screwed for years.... Read More

I rarely write reviews, but I honestly owe these guys everything. Two years ago, I was in a really dark place financially, back-to-back car accidents (neither my fault) left me out of work for months, medical bills piled up, and I fell behind on credit cards. I always paid when I could and even threw extra money at them, but it wasn’t enough. In desperation I signed up for one of those debt relief programs… biggest mistake ever. They told me to stop paying my cards so they could negotiate, then ghosted me. Every account got charged off. My score tanked to 499 and I had zero open cards left. I was getting denied everything, even basic apartments. I posted my story on r/Credit begging for... Read More

I really enjoy doing business with FIVE STAR CREDIT SPECIALIST. I have been speaking to Kevin and he is always overly helpful when I call. Whenever I call in, I request to speak to him. I would definitely recommend FIVE STAR CREDIT SPECIALIST as their results are really effective on my 3 credit reports. I was skeptical at first but Five Star Credit Specialist does what they say. They really are thorough with cleaning up credit reports! Kevin reinforces that whenever I need to call in about something.

Hi all, first of all you have to note that not all of those out there who pose to be hackers are real and from my experience, this job doesn’t come so cheap. My credit score was in the 400 range; it took a hit due to me missing a student loan payment. I couldn’t get a credit card. I was denied three, even a secured credit card and I just don’t know what to do. In the process of trying to get my credit repaired I fell into a fake person who helped worsen my problem, he took over $9,000 in bits. This happened until I met this credit repair company known as FIVE STAR CREDIT SPECIALIST, they have the best hackers out there. Helped me fix my credit with just a little payment I made and I’m a... Low credit score affected me from being able to apply for a home in Wisconsin. Long story short, I closed out my ConEd account 2 years ago when I moved. I believe that I had paid my final bills, however, I didn’t realize that I closed it mid-cycle and still had a balance. I got a collection notice last month and saw my score drop from 818 to 661. I immediately paid off the remaining balance but I didn’t recover my score, until I came across this specialist called FIVE STAR CREDIT SPECIALIST. I never believed I would be able to get my scores back so fast until he proved me wrong. He helped me raise my credit score to 795 which has helped me to be able to purchase a home for my family.

I reached out to several Credit Repair agencies before I contacted FIVE STAR CREDIT SPECIALIST. I must say from the start Kevin was very polite, professional and human. The previous company I heard from scared me to death, then insulted me about my credit score. He jumped right to the money before explaining how it all works. I believe I found the right help with FIVE STAR CREDIT SPECIALIST. Kevin truly made me feel secure enough to begin this journey. Excited about my future with FIVE STAR CREDIT SPECIALIST. Thanks Kevin! This is my greatest life achievement.

Pinnacle credit specialist provides a way for the little people to do big things when it comes to credit. I suggest anyone under a 700 for a credit score to invest their time in PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST. Trust me it's worth it.

Hello everyone, I’m new here. I’m 23, in the navy now. It actually feels good to have a worthy credit profile. I want to use this time to appreciate PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST for helping me out of a bad credit report that made my life miserable. I kind of ruined it when I was 18. My Experian score was 562, I had a loan of $4,848.12, yes, I know I suck at money but I’ve been doing a little better than how I was before so save the shit talking pls I’m trying lol. Anyways I also do have a collection of $621 and a closed loan from affirm for $886. I also had my first hard inquiry on August 21, 2025. I needed some honest advice and feedback about how I could fix my credit. Pinnacle Credit... Read More

So far, pinnacle credit specialist has been helpful & knowledgeable. As soon as I hired them right away, they helped get Comcast negative marks that were incorrect off my FICO score & they also removed one of the collections I got from an eviction due to my ex lying to me about actually paying the rent before we moved. It's not that expensive, only $1k and one-time payment, the most amazing thing is you can pay after they fix your credit and you get a credit card. Go for PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST and save thousands on future loan rates. So far, I find it worth it because I’ve applied for a few cards which are in my wallet right now.
